“AMAZING!”
Reviewed 13 August 2014 via mobile

The time we had in Kruger, staying at Imbali - was the highlight of our trip to Africa!
We could not have chosen a better place to stay.
Rooms were lovely, jacuzzi on the deck was a great added bonus!
Great location with a little waterhole opposite the main deck (where you eat your meals) lots of animals randomly popped by for a drink.
Staff were funny and professional and very welcoming.
Food was fantastic.
Our guide Ossie (Oscar) was absolutely amazing. We saw the "Big 5" in a single day. Ossie was constantly tracking and making sure he found the animals. We were always the first to sight the animals. Another great thing about Imbali, is that there are only 2 other lodges on the same concession, so on a sighting we never had more than another two jeeps turn up.
We were lucky enough one night, to hear lions making a kill, the next morning we were taken straight to the site where the 4 male lions where still devouring the buffalo carcass. Very close up view and what an amazing experience!
Highly recommend Imbali :)

My daughter and I stayed at the Imbali Safari Lodge for 3 days in mid-April. I have traveled all over the world and this lodge has to be near the top of my list for places to stay. Everyone on the staff was very friendly and ready to do anything required to make our visit an enjoyable one. In particular, our guide Andrew was a font of knowledge on all of the animals we encountered and tried to make sure we saw as many as we could in the time we were there. While we were at the lodge we were the only ones to see all of the Big 5 and that was made possible by Andrew and his expert knowledge of the area. Additionally, the food (and there was plenty of it) was first rate and I had one of the best steaks I have ever had in my life. Overall, an immensely pleasurable experience at Imbali and I would highly recommend staying at this lodge if you have the opportunity.

We stayed here in March. Perfect! We were so impressed by the surroundings and the rooms, absolutely outstanding! We had a room that over looked the river with its own plunge pool, that was exhilarating, not sure if they go into hot tub mode in the colder months? The food was amazing, the surroundings awesome, the staff went beyond anything we would have expected.
The Game drives were everything I had always dreamt of and envisioned. We even saw a rare sighting of a leopard in a huge tree, Nicholas got just as excited as the rest of us, he was so awesome, great guide. I must add for the value of this Safari lodge, compared to some of the other high priced ones, not sure what the difference is, but in our eyes this is definitely a FIVE STAR LODGE! Happy Travels to all!!! Thank you Imbali for everything. Sorry so late getting my review in.

Room Tip: River front for sure.

The rooms at Imbali were spectacular and the staff friendly. Thanks Ju Ju for your excellent service and thank you Nicholas for the lovely game drives.
The food was tasty, well prepared and well presented. The dining area was a little cold, as it was mid winter - this can perhaps be improved on.,

We stayed three nights and didn't want to leave. Our room was fabulous; where else can you watch bushbuck, hoopoes and glossy starlings from a hot tub, with cold been in hand courtesy of room service? Great food and service, and wonderful game drives. loved the ponchos
