What an amazing experience, scary at first but our fears were soon put to rest with the professionalism and knowledge of our tracker Lucas and our Ranger Jono, you guys were excellent! Our room was beautiful, our plunge pool refreshing and the view of the Sabie River with the hipos playing was priceless. The chef was amazing, the food was excellent, especially the breakfast mushrooms!! Thanks Benik! A big thank you to Sven for setting up a surprising birthday breakfast on the river bank...An excellent memory!! Thank you Jono for sharing your love of nature with us!

Room Tip: Ensure you rent a room with a plunge pool!

A wonderful luxurious resort. The rooms were spacious, well laid out and immaculately clean over looking the Sabi River. The restaurant /bar service was excellent , the food was wholesome, varied and delicious all over seen by the warm, welcoming Loudrey. Jason & Emanuel our safari guides were amazing, their vast knowledge and respect for the animals and this beautiful environment was inspiring to say the least. We enjoyed 2 safari drives per day , 6am - 9am and 4pm-7pm, where to our great delight saw THE BIG 5 plus lots and lots more... they went to such great lengths to insure we saw the shy, publicity shunning leopard. We enjoyed the am/pm breaks when we stopped off in the bush to enjoy hot chocolate /tea/coffee in the am and a selection of soft drinks, wine, beer in the evenings to be driven back to the lodge under the stars for dinner. We really can't say enough about this place! and look forward already to going back!

Room Tip: Rooms are large, with a large sofa that may be extended to form a bed... we took 2 rooms when really...

Our stay at Tinga Lodge was out of this world. We had no idea what to expect but the lodge is elegant and more than comfortable and dull very relaxed. The staff are fantastic. The rangers and trackers worked hard to make sure we saw the Big 5. We learned a lot from them. We felt healthy and relaxed the entire trip. This was the most awesome thing we've ever done ( safari) and the memory will last forever

Stayed at Lion Sands Tinga Lodge. Thought we were in heaven. Two game drives a day. Or you can get a massage and a mani-pedi in your own lodge! Clean, large (and I mean LARGE) lodge (room - sort of, but bigger). Number One!

We stayed at the Tinga Lodge as part of a package we purchased through Lion World Tours. I don't know if there are words to accurately describe what a wonderful experience we had there. From beginning to end, it was really exceptional. After a 2-hour ride from the airport, we were greeted by the entire staff and welcomed to the lodge. We were walked to our suite by one of the staff who also showed us all the amenities in the room and how everything operates.

Throughout our stay, we were treated so well. Anything we needed or any concerns we had were addressed by a member of the staff in ample time. Everyone was friendly and willing to help out in any way possible. We even had our game drivers and trackers serving us dinner one night when some of the staff were unable to reach the lodge due to a bridge being washed out from heavy rainfall!

Our driver, Raymond, and tracker, George, were fantastic. Their knowledge of the land, the animals and the history is amazing. We learned so much on every game drive. Technically, we saw all of the Big 5, though the sighting of the leopard was so far away, I'm not sure if it counts. Raymond and George worked very hard so we could see as many different animals as possible. Some of them so small, I have no idea how they even spotted them! It was nice to be able to go through the private game reserves and not be around several other jeeps.

The food while staying at the Tinga Lodge was so delicious - we ate like kings and queens. Every meal was fresh, and the presentation was equal to a high-end restaurant in a big city. Kudos to the chef (I never got her name) on her many wonderfully prepared dishes.

Our suite (#9) was gorgeous. We were on the far end from the main lodge. The suite was more than spacious, with a super large bed (and very comfortable) with mosquito netting, a living space with a couch and chair, a large desk, a huge bathroom with double vanity, a large tub overlooking the Sabie River and a shower so large it had two shower heads. A private viewing deck with a plunge pool added to the luxury. The housekeeping staff did a wonderful job keeping the suites clean, coming in twice a day to sweep and turn down the rooms at night.

We can't say enough about this place. Any hesitations or worries we had about being on safari were quickly extinguished the moment we arrived at Tinga. Thank you to everyone there for making our first visit to Africa a truly memorable one. When we have a chance to return, we definitely would stay here again!

Absolutely fantastic stay at this fabulous lodge! Everything at this place was just great!
The staff, the safaris, the suites, the meals, the location, the living and dining areas, the internet, all was just perfect and impeccable.
I would like to specially mention our Ranger Raymond and his Tracker George who went out of their ways to make our safaris enjoyable, and exciting.
I have already recommended this wonderful lodge to friends who are going in October, as I am sure that the safaris at Narina Lodge were the highlights of our trip to South África.
Thank you Sven Linstrom, and your entire staff for making our Holiday in South África a memorable one.

The most amazing place I have ever been to. Everything was just perfect and exceeded all expectations.

Wonderful food and very friendly staff. Loved sitting in my private pool watching all the animals come to the river.

Would love to return for my honeymoon!
