“Beautiful town with beautiful people.”
Reviewed 16 April 2014

Lake Havasu City is a wonderful place to retire. It is a very clean town. The people are wonderful and the town is beautiful. It is a haven for "Snow Birds" migrating south for the winter. It is situated on beautiful Lake Havasu which is famous for championship fishing tournaments, speed boat racing and just relaxing. If you have never been to Lake Havasu you need to make it a future vacation spot. My wife and I retired here in 1998. We love it would never live any other place.

“Nice if you like water”
Reviewed 27 March 2014

Dry ugly deserts are not our thing, but being near the lake, walking along the beaches, fishing, renting a pontoon boat, and always having a view of the lake where ever you are in town, makes it a much nicer place to stay. There are lots of places to eat, things to do, things going on during the winter months, good golfing. We will be back. We spent winter here.

“Awesome landmarks”
Reviewed 13 March 2014

When we got on to Lake Havasu, we saw great canyon landscapes and the water was crystal clear. It is a great ski/tube place, and I would definitely recommend it.

“Good campsite but double-check your reservation”
Reviewed 25 February 2014

Stayed at Cattail Cove Campground, $31 for online reservation.

We came in ~6-7pm to find a motorhome parked in our site. The camp host was apologetic and let us stay in another site but he did mention that the online system was having problems. During the busy times, you may want to call beforehand to make sure that your site is still available -it would be a pain to drive out there and find there was no space.

We only did a quick overnight but the CG seemed good - women's bathrooms were spotless (men's apparently were not), our site was clean but not level. Nice picnic table. There was a free talk at the little amphitheater. Behind the bathrooms are the dumpsters and a sink to wash dishes. There was a separate area for cleaning fish.
