“great place to stop over”
Reviewed 22 January 2014

All the positives you read about this place are true. It is peaceful and clean, spacious and functional in every way, especially the availability of FOUR washing machines and THREE dryers: you can do a family's washing in two hours! great if you are traveling and had no access to washing facilities for a while. The owner is really friendly and helpful. The place has a very relaxed, friendly, family type of atmosphere about it. The only strange thing is the thick carpet in front of the sinks, and the very noisy AC/heating unit on the roof. It sounds like an aircraft when it starts up, especially at night.

I am a travel nurse and excepted an assignment in Lake Havasu for the influx of snowbirds to the area hospital. Now I knew that with it being more of a resort town and the sudden swell of the population that housing would be a challenge, especially for a person only being here for 13 weeks. WOW, is all I can say. What I did not expect was to be price gouged so much. A standard 2BR/2BA decent apartment that would typically rent for around $800/mo (all utilities included) during the off season; will now rent for $1200/mo, or more, and utilities would not necessarily be included. Being panic stricken, I resorted to Trip Advisor to find some interim housing until I could find something a little more affordable.

Hidden Palms Resort came highly recommended, and I can see why. First of all Dick, the proprietor, is a true angel hidden in plain sight. He took us in and sheltered us in one of his well appointed suites. Each suite comes with a living room, with either a plush leather couch that has a queen sleeper, or two plush leather recliners, that are heavenly. A flat screen TV, with cable. A kitchen with all the accoutrements of home, including refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, coffee maker, blender, pots & pans, plates, etc., etc. There is also a breakfast nook with a table capable of seating four comfortably. The water pressure in the bathtub/shower combo is fantastic, with no shortage of HOT water. Towels and linens included. The separate bedroom has a King size bed with a firm mattress to ease away the days stress, road miles, or too much fun you might have incurred. The bedroom also comes with a full size dresser and ample closet, and another TV. All utilities are included, including Internet which was easy to access, cable, water, and electric. Like I said everything is included to make your stay comfortable.

All rooms face outward to the pool, which gets plenty of use from the well established residents. There are also gas grills with infrared heat available for use, as well as on sight washers and dryers, irons, and ironing boards if that's your thing.

The staff here is fabulous, they answered every question we had and were quick to point out areas of interest, where the best places to eat, grocery shop, and get the best gas deals in town are. Every single snowbird that was here were repeat customers and very warm. This place was like stepping into a warm and welcoming family, where everybody actually likes each other and gets along.

I cannot say enough great things about this place, it is truly a hidden gem here in the city. I would also be remiss not to repeat that Dick is an incredibly warm, and great guy. He took time out of his busy day to stop by and bid us farewell before he left out of town.

If I were to ever return, or come back for a pleasure trip, this will be the first place I go to, it's been that good.

I was really surprised at how nice this place is for the price. Walking past the office into the courtyard reminded me of Melrose place. My room was clean with decent furniture. Very comfortable with a separate living room and small but fully and nicely equipped kitchen. I definitely recommend, nicer than some places charging nearly twice as much.

What a wonderful place, Hidden Palms! As others have said, from the outside you wouldn't say it is such a nice place. We arrived late in the afternoon and the front desk was closed, but an enveloppe was waiting for us with information of our apartment and to check in tomorrow morning. The next day the owner was there to check us in officially, she was such a nice lady. Loved the pool! Can't do without a pool in this Lake Havasu heat! After a full day on the lake we still jumped in the pool right away. They ad BBQ's available at the pool. Apartment was excellent: roomy and well equipped. Will definately return next time we are in Lake Havasu.

What a wonderful place. Stopped and stayed for two nights just to get away from the rif raf and what a very relaxing, friendly atmosphere. The rooms were VERY clean and very much appreciated. The staff was excellent to what ever my family needed. Thanks to the office manager Gloria she directed us to places to eat, visit, and made our family feel very welcomed as we visited Lake Havasu. I will absolutly stay here again when I visit Lake Havasu. Thanks for a wonderful weekend and it was our pleasure to stay there. As for the comment from Very Noisy, I dont know where you stayed but i stayed there the same night and I got the best sleep ever.

We stopped for just 1 night in this hotel and the atmosphere was very friendly.
The place itself do not have restaurant and/or vending machines and it's quite distant (10 driving minutes) from the London Bridge area.
Our room was very clean and big, AC very noisy.
The swimming pool was very clean with a BBQ for guests.

Very strange condo complex this one. Not dirty but not the cleanest. One bedroom condos with kitchen area. A bit like stepping back in time to the eighties. We were unfortunate enough to have a bit of noise into the early hours with a large group deciding to use the pool facilities until 2am. Then there's the air conditioning which will keep you awake when it kicks in. It's on a timer and very loud. We thought a group of bikers had entered the building. Unfortunately there are no staff on site. Employees were around only in the morning. No one there when we checked in. No bar/restaurant on site. I'd steer clear of this one!
