a screen shielding you from the wild, you can't, can you? You shouldn't, you should just go. To attempt to explain in words, just is not possible. From the food, to the atmosphere, to the luxury tents you sleep in, which are anything but tents! I mean yes, they are technically tents, and yes, dangerous wildlife abounds, but imagine a claw foot vintage tub filled with bubbles & a glass of champagne, now plop that into the middle of the jungle, with a view, no window separating you of the river where the rhinos are resting...hard to do, just go, you will not regret it!

I have been meaning to pay a visit to Summerfields for awhile now & as it was a few days in the area to celebrate a birthday, I made a breakfast booking at the River Cafe after looking at the menus on offer on their website. What a disappointment! The menu on the web is not what is on offer. We were given a menu with a choice of 2 hot breakfasts only& no fruit juices were available. The Eggs Benedict that most of us opted for was tasteless. The waitress had a "no care" attitude & the restroom was smelly. Will definitely not be choosing Summerfields as a stay over in future!

Stumbled across this place looking for a cup of coffee...turned out to be a fantastic spot and have been back every week since. The rooms were delightful in posh tents overlooking the Sabie river although only glimpsed a vacant room. Booked in for a post marathon massage. Overlooking the Sabie river with the rapids rather than usual dolphin music to accompany the massage was relaxing and enjoyable. Well looked after the staff who did a great job on my tight legs! After the massage the rain cloud showers were a welcome bonus. Heading back again before I go after the Parkrun they offer through the Macademia and Lychee plantations. Many thanks.

My sister and I recently stayed at Summerfields after spending a night at various lodges in the area just outside Kruger, and this venue was the most beautiful relaxing place of all. The massage to the sound of the rushing Sabie river, quiet drinks at the pool, comfortable tented room in the trees, bathing in the moonlight, and the sound of birds - absolutely bliss. Amber.

Room Tip: The tented rooms along the river offer the sound of rushing water through the night, while the tents further into the bush (where we were) offer more peace. All are great and next time we'll try the river tents!

Having been here several times over the years I arranged another visit with a group of friends. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left Sommerfields did not disappoint. This a first class spa that delivers on every level. Lunch afterwards match the quality of the spa.
