“Friendly expertise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 August 2014

Through our tour consultant at Wild Wings Safaris, we booked GAP Tours to transfer our 7-member 3-generation family from Kambaku lodge in Timbavati reserve to Dulini Lodge in Sabi Sands. Our driver/guide was Edward. Edward is an experienced safari game ranger, as well as a fully qualified tour guide for the Mpumalanga region, so we could ask him anything about what we were seeing along the way, and he always had the answers. After that first transfer, we requested Edward for our transfer to Hazyview and tour along the scenic Panorama Route. We had interesting conversations not only about the “flora and fauna,” but also about local politics, history, geography and geology. He also helped us find an ATM machine, as we had not yet had the chance to get any SAR. We were delighted to have Edward as our driver and guide – he is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and easy to understand. Assuming that Edward is representative of the caliber of drivers and tour guides employed by GAP Tours, we highly recommend the company!

“Outstanding scenery and information”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 August 2014

With a half day available after a 2-day drive through Kruger we decided to book a half-day panorama tour to see the waterfalls and "God's Window". Unfortunately, the morning mist obscured much of the view from higher elevations but we did see the Lisbon and Berlin waterfalls quite close up. They alone were worth the trip. Carol packed a nice breakfast which we ate en-route and plenty of water. The bonus was all that we learned about the tree farming and culture in that area from Edward, our guide and driver. He is quite knowledgeable and willing to share his information. The tour was a nice change from Kruger -- different scenery and another exposure to a beautiful country. We highly recommend.

“Great Service!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 August 2014

During our recent safari in the Great Kruger area we had transfers conducted by Gap Tours as well as a full-day Panorama Tour guided by Edward from Gap Tours. We received friendly, punctual and informative service from both Gavin and Edward. The Panorama Route tour is an excellent addition to a safari in Kruger, and spending a day with Edward we learned so much. The scenery is spectacular and he told us so much about the area, the economy, the people, the politics, and the wildlife. We asked him so many questions, and he always had an interesting answer!

Vehicles are clean and comfortable, and they always have cold water available. Our interests and desires were accommodated and were never felt rushed. Great service!

Drivers were knowledgeable, helpful and enthusiastic. Service provided was exemplary, as they transferred us from the Kruger park to Sabi Sands reserve, and then back to Nelspruit Airport.

“Highly recommended company”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 July 2014

My husband and I booked an excursion called Canyons, Cultures and Contrasts whilst we were on Honeymoon in South Africa. We weren't sure what to expect as we waited to be picked up at Ulusaba Airstrip. A large comfortable looking vehicle pulled up and a lovely gentleman called Gavin got out and introduced himself. He was our tour guide for the day.
We set off and it was just my husband, Gavin and myself in the car. Gavin told us so much about South Africa, including the history, culture, politics and he pointed out interesting landmarks. It was great to have someone chatting openly and honestly about this new place we were visiting. We were taken to a variety of beautiful waterfalls, canyons and popular tourist attractions. Again, Gavin explained the significance of each place and we were fascinated to hear his stories. We also took some incredible photographs!
To finish the excursion Gavin took us to a great pancake place called Harrie's pancakes which was great, and lunch was included in the excursion.
We wouldn't hesitate to use Gap Tours again as we had such a brilliant day. Thank you very much Gavin!
