“Relaxed great for kids”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

We stayed here for two nights. It was close enough to Kruger Park Reserve that we went in everyday. We also booked a night drive at the Phabeni gate. . The lodge has a very nice restaurant as well as a lovely short walking trail next to the river. Great place to just relax. If you play golf pack your clubs.

We stayed at Kruger Lodge for a weekend and my 7year old daughter was impressed with the boks running around the lodge. Our unit was just next to the river, neat 3 bedroom with excellent facilities. They have a bit of everything you need in a self-catering accommodation including key appliances, including a dishwasher (my favourite). I didn't have time to put the dished in the washer on our first day though because we were running late for an appointment and when we got back, the unit was clean and everything was washed.

The sound of the flowing river is amazing at night, we had such peaceful sleep that we couldn't wake up early in the morning.

They have lovely patio furniture and we had our meals outside with the refreshing view of the river.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, I lost something in the parking lot and they left their offices late evening to go and look on my behalf which was very thoughtful.

We didn't have time to explore the pool area and golf course so we will definitely return.

We booked this through flexiclub, so when we got here it was sight unseen. Though we could see there were a lot of lovely units on the property, the ones we got were not so great. The units in the 80's are very small, and the top units are reached with a rather steep wooden staircase. If you are like me and my mom, a little creaky due to bad knees and an ankle op in my case, this is definitely not ideal. Getting everything up and down the staircase was a nightmare. The unit itself had everything you needed, a small kitchenette, a bathroom with a bath, bedroom with a double bed and a lounge with a sleeping couch. It has a nice balcony with a braai. However, everything is quite small and this was not taken into account when choosing the kitchen furniture. We had to move some of the chairs just so we did not have to inch ourselves around the table every time, as they were in the way. We had to request that they fix the DSTV 3 times before it was done permanently, and then they said the first 2 calls had not been logged properly. As I had called reception on all 3 occasions i found this puzzling. The staff were very friendly on all occasions we interacted with them. We could see that with the bigger units, your stay here would be bliss.

Our kids absolutely love this place, our unit is very close to the kids play area, which consists of a VERY impressive play gym and two ground floor trampolines, not to mention the mini-golf! So our kids had the freedom to walk from our unit to the play area everyday! A huge plus for parents with small kids! This property offers relaxation and tranquility for parents, and an aboslutely play paradise for kids!

We stayed at Kruger Park Lodge at the beginning of May and really enjoyed top-class facilities. We were 3 distinct couples and each had our own bedroom with bathroom so it was perfect. The unit was really comfortable, contained everything we required and was just perfectly situated in front of a small fishing dam. I love this place and am so delighted to have bought timeshare here!

Kruger Park Lodge really beat all our expectations. It's a gholfers paradise but even though we are not gholfers we loved the beauty and greenness of the whole resort. It's just a beautiful place with walking trails along the river.
The Hippo hide is amazing and closer then that we didn't see hippos any where.
The bucks walking around your doorstep is also amazing, so peaceful!
Loved the place and would definetaly recommend it. Also very close to the Kruger National Park where we went to twice.

Room Tip: Any room is lovely but maybe the rooms near the river will have the best view.

If you want one of the best accommodation establishment close to the world renowned Kruger National Park, this is it. The rooms are big enough and the friendly staff cleans the rooms daily. The river that runs through the Kruger Park Lodge seems to sing you a lullaby as you go to sleep and in the morning you are woken up by the sound of wild geese. As you get out of the chalets you are greeted by beautiful buck roaming around. The only blip was poor service that we experienced at the Rapid's restaurant during the first two nights of our stay, but the service gradually improved during the latter part of our six days's stay. The Kruger Park lodge is central if you want to visit the Kruger National Park, Sabie or Graskop.

Room Tip: If you like the sound of running water 24/7, ask for the chalets next to the river, on the other han...
