Me and my wife, we experienced a week-end (2 nights) at this hotel, as a base to visit Blyde River Canyon.
The setting - an updated old farm with a set of several beautifully decorated small apartments, with very good privacy, spread through a lush beautiful garden, with a small pool.
It is really agreable.
The service is very nice. They have a guide service for helping you out on what to see in the region, which is very useful, and which we recommend.
There is also a spa (my wife used it for massage and liked it). I used the pool. The water was not cristal clear and clean, but it is diffcult to maintain a pool completely clean when there is such a lush and heavy tropical beautiful garden, almost covering it. So it was not clean, but it was because of the leaves and other materials falling from the plants around it.
For people willing to have a peaceful resting place, it is highly recommended. Bird watchers may enjoy the birds in the garden. I've seen, among the foliage, a Turako and heard several other ones.
Breakfast and diner are good, as well. The cook knows waht she is doing! Wine list is nice too, mainly of South african wines, which is understandable!More
