This is our second stay at this beautiful guest house. The accommodation is beautiful, lovely bed linens and the attention to detail is fantastic, every toiletry you could possible need and a very welcome decanter of sherry in the room. Our arrival was delayed by a day sadly due to one of our party being taken ill on the aircraft to Lanseria, the welcome we received made up for all the trauma of the previous day. The locations is beautiful overlooking the banana plantations and a perfect setting in which to unwind. Thank you Ilara & Robbie for making us so welcome and for the beautiful Birthday cake too!!! Hopefully we shall be able to stay longer next time.

We spent the three first nights of our honeymoon in Plumbago Guest House, pretty close to Kruger National Park gate. We loved the exclusivity. There are only three rooms in the guest house and we had the room next to pool & with view over the banana plantations at the neighbouring site.

Location is pretty distant from services in agricultural area, so car or transportation is needed if one wants to go out to eat/drink something - but we didn't. We were taken care of by Ilara and enjoyed her cooking for three nights - excellent 3-course meals every night. She even made us ex tempore light lunch one day when we arrived early from our safari.

Everything was taken care of - the bottle of sparkling waiting for us in our room, transportation to and from the airport, the room was perfect, meals top-notch... And the dogs were adorable also. Perfect start for our trip of a lifetime.

Room Tip: Room next to the pool is the most exclusive one, two others on the upper level are located next to e...

A great stay in a quiet and green surrounding area. The apartment has a well equiped kitchen including a washing machine. The view from the terrace was stunning. We felt very welcome by the lovely owners.

After leaving Kruger Park we stayed at Plumbago Guest House. We only stayed 1 night but would definitely like to stay longer next time. We received a warm welcome from ilara and Robbie and the dogs (let us not forget Tigger the cat also). The suites were well-equipped, comfortable and spacious and dinner and breakfast were excellent. Sincere thanks to ilara and Robbie and staff, you definitely deserve your 5 star rating.

We loved our stay at Plumbago Guest House over Christmas. Our doggie Tiffany was treated like one of their own, and even received a bowl of bacon on Christmas morning! Their hospitality is remarkable and the food top quality. We will be back!

I can only say how brilliant my stay at Plumbago was from arriving until leaving. The decor, the food, the owners, staff and also importantly the resident doggies made my visit memorable.

A must place to stay even if only for 1 night, try and stay at least 2 nights though to make the experience really worthwhile..

Enjoy the fabulous views from the terrace overlooking the Kruger National Park in the distance.

Savour the delectable cuisine, enjoy a glass of wine and relax.

Peace and serenity, just the twittering of birds as background music.

A great place to stay when visiting the area, including the Kruger National Park.

Thank you one and all and will hopefully enjoy a second stay sometime in the not too distant future.

Room Tip: 3 Suites only and all gorgeous
