We had a lovely stay here. We planned to stay here for one night, but it turned in to three.
+ Decor
+ The owners, John and Laura. They were very helpfull, gave good advice and were also in for a nice chat.
+ Large, clean and comfortable room with mosquito net and AC (not directed at the bed which was really nice for once!).
+Good breakfast with delicious fresh tropical fruit salad.
+ Most definitely one of the best stays during our 25 day trip in south afrika.

- The wifi signal did not reach our room.

John and Laura welcomed us into their lodgings as our own. Very attentive and supportive of our needs without being intrusive. Very helpful with local bookings and recommendations. Wonderfully personalized breakfasts. Thankyou

We have stayed three nights with Laura and John and have enjoyed their hospitaity. The place is very central to the beach (about 300 meters). Laura kindly booked the Hippo tour for us upon arrival. We recommand that you take their honeymoon suite. The Jacuzzi is very nice in the evening. Also, John has done a nice African braai on one evening, and we really enjoyed the great food. If you want to go to Cape Vidal, they will give you detailed information on where to stop and even provide snorkeling equipment for free. If you go to St. Lucia, make sure you stay with them.

This is an average B&B in St Lucia. I would recommend it only for an overnight stay and if all other areas in town are full, as was the case with us.

The male owner is a very lovely and sociable person and provided great advice on what do to when in St Lucia.

The room we stayed in was pretty dark and so was the lounge/entrance area.

Xmas breakfast was prepared by a lady who seemed very unhappy with her job. Appeared extremely agitated. Not suited for the hospitality industry.

The pool is great especially for the young ones. They truly enjoyed it.

I don’t really know where to start so I will summarize as much as possible:
- Booked into African Dreamz (African Ambience sister guest house with same owners) as there was no where else available over Easter.
- Greeted by a highly agitated owners wife who threatened to “kill her husband” for moving the bookings registry and made a fuss of giving me a pamphlet map of st lucia because they were only given limited number of copies.
- We paid extra for a luxury room with a balcony. The balcony turned out to be a tiny area of tiles that looked out onto a grey concrete perimeter wall. Not worth the money and not somewhere you would want to sit and relax.
- The guest house was a newly converted family home, it was not thoughtfully designed for large numbers of guests. We felt the full effects of this when two families with 5 small children arrived and we were woken every morning by the crying of babies. Had the owners warned me of this booking, I would have found an alternative holiday destination. Although the other guests were lovely people, we felt like we were intruding in someone else’s personal home.
- The kitchen was locked after breakfast every day and we had no access to utensils and glasses etc. We felt like we were inconveniencing the owners when we asked for these.
- All in all, we don’t get to do short holidays very often with our busy schedules and I regret spending my precious holiday weekend at this establishment. I felt cheated and disappointed.

All the 5s because that's what we experienced
The owners could not have been more accommodating. Lovely room looking on to garden. Excellent food, great location. You make the place your home. We found mobs to do and the owners made excellent recommendations. It takes but a few minutes to work out the village and what's available - it's all within walking distance. Never felt threatened.
