We booked the three days package safari tours with the heritage company in combination with 2 nights at the Ludiko lodge in St.Lucia. This was a great experience and we really enjoyed all the nice safari trips together with the braai and lunch. Especially Arno who was our tour guide on the final day. At first we thought we were going to surf, based on his appearance and not wearing shoes, but luckily we drove to the safari park.

He showed us some nice parts of the park and told us a lot about the animals and the tracks you could see (fe the drag track of an elephant). He also took us to a (abandoned) secret tower (after a short walk through the jungle) to spot some wales at the beach of Cape Vidal, which was also amazing. We also had a nice lunch together with a glass of wine and he was really interested in us and what we wanted to see in the park.

If we would go again we would certainly ask for him as a tour guide and stay at his wife’s guesthouse (iGwalagwala). And we were also very grateful that he brought us back to Durban!
