“Guesthouse with atmosphere”
Reviewed 13 April 2014

Beautiful guesthouse in a quiet area in St. Lucia. We had the room with directly access to the pool - very nice and relaxing! Breakfast was fantastic with egg, bacon, fruits, joghurt, muffin, ... Very helpful and wonderful hosts. They gave us good tips for great activities in the area and supported us with equipment for the beach day.

Igwalagwala is a place one can easily visit again and again. The hosts, Glynis and Bruce were warm, knowledgeable and catered for our every need. They recommended interesting places to visit and ensured that when we visited Cape Vidal (the highlight of our stay), that umbrellas, deck-chairs and snorkeling equipment was made available for us us take along. Our room was beautiful and looked onto the lovely garden and pool. It was great to meet people from as far afield as Belgium, Cypress and The Netherlands. A truly first class experience. We stayed seven nights - three nights too little!

Room Tip: Ask for Room No. 1 - Not ideal for small children though

We stayed for 6 nights at the end of November 2013 in this lovely property .Our hosts Glynnis and Bruce were really welcoming and helpful providing us with lots of local information and stories. Our large and comfortable bedroom led onto the garden and swimming pool which we loved.Breakfast was always good and each day Gynnis provided an extra treat such as scones and cakes. Bruce organised a great barbeque/braai on the Friday . Easy access to nature reserves with excellent bird sightings from the garden ! Highly recommended.

A home from home environment in that you are made to feel welcome right away.
We had a clean and comfortable room which is almost a prerequisite. The swimming pool was pristine and thoroughly enjoyed by our overseas guest and his children. The overall experience was one of feeling relaxed and at home. Glynnis arranged an estuary tour with the incredibly informative tour leader Ciaran Barker - high recommended too. We would recommend Igwalagwala Guest House to those wanting chilled out family time in St Lucia

This is a very well-run, clean and comfortable guesthouse. As soon as you walk in, you can tell that Glynnis and her husband keep everything in excellent working order. Our room was large, comfortable and quiet and we enjoyed a dip in the pool to cool off after our drive from Eshowe. The breakfast was excellent too. A great place to stay in St. Lucia.
