Owner description: This estuary is part of the Greater St. Lucia Wetland Park and includes fishing, hiking tours, boat tours and a crocodile center. The crocodiles make swimming an ill-advised idea.

A great trip up the estuary with very good boat skipper and guide. Plenty of hippos and crocs to see as well as a number of bird species.

This was a nice way to spend a few hours exploring the St. Lucia estuary. Unfortunately, we didn't see any crocs although we saw quite a few hippos and learned a lot about these creatures.
Our guide at Heritage was extremely knowledgeable about the area and provided us with some enlightening information. Pretty good value for the money but wouldn't do it again.

This park blows your mind! At first it may seem like a typical sunny beach spot in warm KwaZulu Natal but St Lucia is so much more. Within minutes of entering the Cape Vidal gates we saw white rhino, black rhino, kudu, zebra, buffalo and wildebeest. The Lake also offers great sightings of crocs and hippos. Be aware that there are often queues to get into Cape Vidal for arrive early, bring a picnic lunch, sun block, your snorkelling kits and get ready for some of the best game viewing in South Africa.
