Great hotel stayed there twice this year. However my children wanted to experience high tea. We booked and got the perfect setting , Royal Albert tea set great expectation followed for the eats. However great disappointment the cakes were dry,the sandwiches boring, tasteless my 11 yr old even said no cucumber? We asked the manager on duty for feed back and the reply was a new pastry chef and cost cutting. This is not great for a flagship hotel. We asked for escalation but no reply.

you think you are in a fairy-tail or in a house of a Maharadscha. The architecture and the details are breath taking. The rooms wonderful & elegant. So many different places to go.... You will not know, what to see at first !! The different places of Sun City itself (the Gardes, pools, wave valley, casino...) or for example the Crocodile Sanctuary....
It is absolutely worth going there !! If you don't - you miss something !
oh, before I forget: They have the best BREAKFAST (especially sundays) I ever had before in my life - and I had been in quite a lot of 5 star hotels....
The Restaurant "La Plume or Les Plumes" I cannot recommend. I did not like very much the food - even though it was very nice decorated.

A beautiful and elegantly designed hotel. Very spacious room with comfortable bed. Food was excellent at its buffet breakfast and the high tea. Staff was nice and friendly. The French restaurant offered very quality food as well. The hotel was huge and we needed to take a shuttle to its gym room at another block. Very pleasant stay at this nice resort. Highly recommended.

We have done much travelling abroad and thought be a nice getaway to explore things closer to home, and boy we are glad we did!!! I have to begin with the service that was world class and the best service we have ever received (both locally & abroad)! Every staff member we came into contact was exceptionally professional and went out of their way to engage with us on a personal level. A special thanks to Richard in the Grill restaurant in the Palace, Nico (Rooms Devision), Christina and Sydney (Assistant managers).

The superb service began when we upgraded, by choice, from the cabanas to the Palace where we were accommodated to a non-smoking room. This set the tone for our two night stay. The setting is perfect for true relaxation, be it chilling by the pool or going back to your childhood and having fun at the Valley of the Waves super tubes!

The breakfast buffet is probably the best we have ever had as you can choose from sushi, full English breakfast to waffles and pancakes (and everything in between). We dined first at Plume and the food was top quality, rich and magnificent. I have to say the second night at The Grill in the Palace was absolutely phenomenal! The Lobster bisque is out of this world and again we could not fault the service! The presentation was homely, yet classy.

I highly recommend a few nights at Kwa Maritane if you enjoy the bush, this way you get two holidays in one as you don't need to travel far at all to enjoy a safari/sun & 'sea' holiday. We commend Sun City for the superb ethos that is instilled in their staff and will return in the near future.

We recently stayed at this hotel in December. The hotel public areas really are lush and oppulent, but the rooms are tired and in dire need of revamping. The breakfast is an amazing spread, and the service staff, Betty in particular, was exceptional. Would have loved the hotel, minus the tired rooms!

Room Tip: We had a pool facing room - not worth the extra money.
