“Very conveniently situated!”
Reviewed 7 February 2012

Great location, neat rooms, friendly staff. The rooms need an upgrade but the views cannot be beaten! Close to Clifton beaches and Camps Bay and literally 10 minutes from V and A Waterfront. The only downside - very noisy neighbours with small children who screamed continuously!

Room Tip: Ask for the higher apartments as often the noise from the swimming pool disrupts a peaceful afternoo...

This accommodation was in a really good location: very close to Camps Bay and only 10 mins from the V & A Waterfront. The hotel offer free tranport within 8k which is very convenient for either location. The room was pleasantly furnished with a private balcony overlooking the sea. The kitchenette was well stocked with crockery, pans, microwave etc for anyone who wants to eat in.

One thing worth noting is the noise. The hotel next door is being rebuilt and the workmen started drilling at 8am until 5pm. It didn't really bother us as we were only there for 4 days - 2 of which were over the weekend, so no workmen on those days. The other 2 days we were out early to explore Capetown and didn't arive back until late afternoon but if you did want to relax by the pool earlier in the day the noise would be very distracting.

The room had no air con although there was a fan. It didn't cool the room down enough so sleep was a bit disturbed. Overall though, good value for money

This oceanfront property has amazing views and all apartments face the water. The rooms are dated, but it worked great for us as we enjoyed the spectacular morning and sunset views and were gone most of the day. The rooms have a private patio and there is a communal deck with a pool, lounging chairs and barbecue. Either place is excellent to watch the sun set and have a few drinks.

The rooms themselves are bright but older. There is a fully stocked kitchen with a microwave and a living room with a fairly small television. Our bedroom was on an upstairs loft and had curtains so you could have semi-privacy. The bed was fine but not to the standards of those in luxury hotels. There was ample space in the room for luggage storage. Our bathroom was very cramped and had a low entrance (hit my head twice) but was clean.

The housekeeping was excellent and was expedient in delivering items to stock the room and showed up at our designated time to clean the room and wash the dishes. The daytime front desk staff was very helpful (the night staff wans't unfriendly but was not as resourceful). There is a free shuttle with very limited hours. Their wi-fi setup is a pain as you only get three hours of access at a time and have to obtain new login info after each expiration.

The property is on a beautiful residential stretch between Sea Point and Clifton. It is a scenic 15 minute walk to the Clifton beaches and 35 to Camps Bay by foot (or you can wave the local bus down for a short ride - ask the front desk for details if you haven't used these in Africa). As far as stores and restaurants, it is a ten minute walk to Regent Road in Sea Point where you will find grocery stores, restaurants, shops, etc.

We think this the best location in Cape Town and would definitely stay here again.

Came here with a group of friends who had come from the UK for a wedding. The hotel is in a nice location. Staff are polite and courteous. Rooms were of a decent size and kept clean. Kitchen facilities were more than adequate.
The view of the Ocean from the balcony was fantastic. It was too cold to use the pool.
One small drawback was the size of the carpark, was sometimes very tight to park your car, a real pain if you have a rental car and are conscious of scratching it.
