Had a great time here. The hotel is very nice and the location is terrific. The only issue we had was problems with wifi in the room. That was the only disappointing part. Great food and staff! They also offer a Porsche shuttle to other areas of Cape Town.

Room Tip: Great breakfast that's included.

Arrived to a very friendly welcome and our room was ready straight away. Nice room with fantastic views over Camps Bay beach! Staff are friendly and very helpful although it took a few days to change our duvets. Toiletries are not very good so bring your own, bath towels too small apart from the last day so they do bigger if you want!!
Nice breakfast but think they should put the corporate groups in a different room as they can be noisy! We had lunch in the hotel most days (6) and menu a little limited but good quality food. Made use of the hotels taxi service, great cars like the Porsche Panameras and the drivers were excellent and friendly!
Pools are fine, plenty of sunbeds but had to wait for the towels in the mornings. There is a busy road between the hotel and the beach and no swimming unless you're wearing a wetsuite, very cold water (Atlantic).
Plenty of bars and restaurants close by so it's kind of buzzing in the evenings!
Would I stay there again? Of course I would but would rate it at 4 1/2 stars....

Room Tip: Sea views are a must!

I spent three nights at The Bay Hotel in a Premier Sea Facing room . I had stayed last October in a similar class of room which was lovely but this room was even more exquisite. It felt private and the view wax magnificent. It was cosy and all amenities were excellent. I particularly enjoyed the coffee machine!!
Staff throughout the hotel were wonderful. I used the beauty salon which was very reasonably priced. Staff were very attentive.
Choices at breakfast were excellent as was the standard of food in the Bistro. Wi fi was available throughout the hotel.
I will definitely be making a third trip! Catherine Eastham

Room Tip: I was very impressed with premier sea view especially those on ground floor rather than lower floor...

I visited The Rotunda for a function. The hotel is located across the road from the Camps Bay Beach, a beautiful beach! We got there in time for some sunset photos.

We had a three course meal at the restaurant.
The starter was a butternut soup which wasn't too bad.
For mains, we had a choice between Salmon, steak or a vegetable Lasagne. My partner had the steak which he said was over-cooked and that the meat was of bad quality. I chose the vegetable lasagne, which somehow came out as a vegetable pie, which irritated me slightly because I expect to get what is written on the menu.
The dessert was a choice between creme brulee and chocolate Brownie. My partner chose the creme brulee and I opted for the Brownie. The creme brulee was not cooked and was runny. We thought he just got a bad one so we asked for a new one. The waitron was kind enough to bring my partner another one. The second creme brulee was over-cooked! We tipped the dish over and tapped it to try get the dessert out but it wouldn't budge! We scooped it out and looked at it. It looked like a mould of jelly that bounced about when tapped with a spoon! Others at our table also had either overly runny or overly bouncy desserts. The chocolate brownie was hard as rock but it tasted alright.

For such an expensive and high class restaurant, I expected high quality food. The food we were served was not even as good as the food served in some chain restaurants!

The bar looking out onto the ocean had a nice atmosphere and had some really nice cocktails!

The Bay Hotel is one of those truly classy hotels that you can be assured will provide an exceptional experience when in Cape Town. From the huge buffet breakfast in the morning to a super spa experience to a nightcap at the Sandy Beach Club. The location is perfect for taking a day to the wine country, table mountain, downtown Cape Town and the V&A Waterfront or a scooter ride to Hout Bay. All I can say is sit back and enjoy the ride!

Stayed here for 3 nights and felt very welcomed by the staff. We had a beautiful pool view room with a jacuzzi outside on the balcony.lovely separate bathroom with bath salts in a dish beside the bath, heated towel rail and nice towels. Room was well cleaned, nice bedding and pillows. Turn down service provided a chocolate brownie or a cookie.breakfast was good and nice selection of fruits, yogurts, croissants etc and the normal eggs, sausages etc. ate in the restaurant which was nice but my only comment would be the smell of the cooking coming from the kitchen. You could actually smell the food sometimes when you entered the hotel and sitting at the pool, depending on what food was being cooked.had a bit of an issue with the internet. At times it was difficult to get signed in especially in the bedroom. The staff dealt with it very professionally and we eventually got it resolved. I must admit I would like to see unlimited internet use. The hotel is in a good position and would recommend the Italian ice cream shop 2 doors along and paranga restaurant next door.enjoyed our stay very much.
