My boyfriend and I have travelled all around the world and have stayed at many low scale bungalows to high end luxury suites, and although the Primi Sea Castle is not a 5 star resort, it damn well deserves a 5 star medal! Never in my whole travel experiences have I had such a welcoming host. Michael is a world of knowledge and will go out of his way for anyone. He is so friendly, accommodating, and full of advice and tips that we travellers need. Overall just a great person to sit down with, share a glass (or bottle) of vino and pick his brain.
I was very impressed with the accommodation too! The ocean view room was AMAZING… it was clean, tidy and had the most breath-taking views! Absolute value for money, you couldn’t get a cheaper place with better amenities, views or host! Michael thank you for making our trip to Camps Bay so memorable! We’ll definitely be back again mid year!

I stayed at Primi Sea Castle for a couple of nights in December 2011 and have truly nothing negative to say. It's literally right across the street from the beach, maybe 20 steps, and also on the main street with tons of bars and restaurants. The owner is available, helpful and so fun! He really brought the guests together and had sunset happy hour on the pool deck while we were there.
All the rooms are adorable, well appointed and spotless! Our bathroom was huge, with a tub and shower and the beds were big and comfortable; there were even flower petals scattered on then when we arrived! Breakfast is abundant, made to order and included in the room rate, plus you get free vouchers for Internet. I wish I could have stayed longer! Michael - thanks for an amazing time!

This was our first hotel on our stay in South Africa and it was different (in a positive sense). It is a smaller more familiar hotel, with good service and an excellent manager in Michael. Michael is different to all the other ones I have met, he has his opinions (don't expect a synchophantic employee), is very sociable and will spend his evening entertaining the guests at the bar. Probably more suitable for families with older children, but he was great with ours and even our 12 year old Tim was handled brilliantly. You can get good food in from the other hotel in Camps Bay if you don't want to eat out and it was fine. That apart the tour buses stop here so there is no problem getting down into Cape Town in a short time and leaving your car at the hotel, although the buses stop around 6-7 pm I believe. But to do the usual sightseeing tour in the town it was perfect. And the beach is just over the road and many restaurants in 5 minutes walking distance. I would definitely recommend it, especially for couples. I have marked the restaurant based on the food they get in as they do not have one themselves!

Returned from a lovely holiday in SA. Stayed at the Primi Seacastle only for one night but what an impression it made. As all the other guests have stated, Michael is amazing, he breaks down barriers between guests and you all have a good time. There is no pressure, if you want to keep yourself to yourself then that is also ok. We watched our video of the couple from Sidney (he is a Mauri) doing the Hacka? it was a good rendition by the guy but Michael was hilarious, arms and legs everywhere. We could only get booked in for one night but the following two nights were spent at the Primi Royal, (sister hotel) equally as good. We did return to the Seacastle on our last night to see how the couple from Sydney had got on with their shark dive and were made equally as welcome even though we weren't staying there. All of the staff here are lovely and made our stay enjoyable. We would definately like to return next year. Colin and Linda Reed

Room Tip: Sea View rooms are great

My wife and I started our honeymoon in Primi Seacastle, and boy we were not disappointed. As previous feedback points out, this place is excellently run, professionally, curtious, respectible and fun.
On the day we arrived we felt right at home, surrounded by lovely and people.
Checking in through Michael (the manager) was smooth and forgave me for asking too many questions.
In fact, we were treated more like friends, rather than guests.
That is not to say, that if you want your privacey that cannot happen, far from it.
You will always be given optiions on what you prefer to do, and will never be felt obliged to either engage with social activities, such as an evening "night cap" or talking to other guests.
However, believe us, you will not want to do any other than talking to equally friendly people.
Having said that, we met a US couple who were not too nice to be honest...
Through our 10 night stay, we made lots of friends, met people who we are still in touch with, and even met a fellow guest a month later in Hong Kong.
You are also given the option of using a reliant taxi service.
In fact, we hired a local lad for 3 days at a very reasonable cost to show us the sights of the Peninsula. He was terrific. And when you are in such a stunning area, the last thing you want to do is being distracted by driving around all the time...
The room, we were also treated to the searoom view, was amazing. Big, comfy, well equipped and very well cleaned.
We loved wakening up to the sound of waves crashing onto the beach, or the odd car blaring with music... however we always slept really well.
In the morning you are treated to an excellent breakfast, which included fresh fruit, full cooked brekkie, omlettes, croissants, etc. and plenty of tea and coffee.
Not only does Primi Seacastle benefit from Michael being the manager, the team itself around him is just amazing.
Every single person from Marshall to the kitchen staff make your stay memorable for a long time.
Will we return? Of course, what a question!
