First class accommodations, food, surroundings - I can't imagine anyone having anything negative to say about this place. The staff is fabulous. We stayed for four days and enjoyed every minute. Returning to the hotel at the end of each day was like coming home. The Leopard Bar became our go-to spot, either out on the terrace to watch the sunset or inside on a comfortable sofa to sink into. From the breakfast buffet with champagne and oysters to the turndown service with cookies at the end of the day, we were thoroughly spoiled. No wonder Lady Gaga and Rihanna chose this hotel for their recent stays!

Dear Trip Advisor Reviewer,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at the Twelve Apostles hotel & Spa with our potential future guests.

I am very pleased to read that you had such a wonderful stay with us. The Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa is truly a “home away from home” and glad you share the same sentiment. The Leopard Bar is the best place in Cape Town for a sundowner, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the picturesque setting sun.

Breakfast is always a highlight with us and there is no better way to start the day than with some bubbles and oysters. The celebrities love our hotel for the same reasons.

The team at The Twelve Apostles look forward to welcoming you back on many future occasions.

Warm Regards,

I honestly can't put into words how fabulous this hotel was. Amazing setting, beautiful food (although I wouldn't advise taking afternoon tea - not a patch on a UK experience), stunning décor and all the little finishing touches that really make the difference - and set this hotel apart. The service is perhaps the best thing about staying here. Nothing is too much trouble and every member of staff - from bellboy to Manager - really seem to care.

The spa is a little overpriced and I've certainly had better spa experiences elsewhere, but the hotel itself is to die for. If you live if Cape Town or are just visiting - make sure you put it on your 'to-do'

Room Tip: Mountain view rooms are beautiful too - I had both a mountain view and a sea facing suit during my s...

Dear Trip Advisor Reviewer,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at the Twelve Apostles hotel & Spa with our potential future guests.

We are very spoiled with the wonderful location; we have the Table Mountain Nature reserve in our back yard with 8 picnic spots to the foot of the mountain and a marine reserve in front. We are also very fortunate to have Southern Right Whales and dolphins come into the bay for our guests to enjoy. Listen out for the brass bell on your next visit which we will ring when they are spotted in the bay.

I’m sorry that our version of afternoon tea, “Tea by the Sea” did not live up to your expectations and hope on your next visit that you will be pleasantly surprised by some of our enhancements we have made. The same with our spa which we recommend as an experience and not only as treatments.

With our “Yes I Can” attitude, the team at The Twelve Apostles look forward to welcoming you back on many future occasions.

Warm Regards,

Horst W. Frehse

My wife and I stayed four nights in October. We were impressed with all aspects of this hotel from the hospitality of the staff to the amazing views of the mountains and coast. We did not have anything planned prior to our arrival, but guest services were a tremendous help in planning excursions during our stay. Do not be concerned about being a mile or so outside the city as the shuttle service made it easy to get there and back.

Dear Trip Advisor Reviewer,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at the Twelve Apostles hotel & Spa with our potential future guests.

The concierge team headed up by Masood Sudalla has all the experience and knowledge of the city must see activities and they are the start of our service excellence. We are very blessed with our location which is a great alternative for guests wanting to be outside the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Our complimentary shuttle from 08h00 – 21h30 daily is a great way to stay connected which is only a 15 – 20 minute drive to all Cape Town city centre has to offer.

The team at The Twelve Apostles look forward to welcoming you back on many future occasions.

The 12 Apostles Hotel & Spa (aka 12A) was the best place to start off our South African adventure.

12A is nestled below the 12 Apostles mountain range in Camps Bay, South Africa. The resort has an unobstructed 180°sweeping view of the coastline and the mountains. The hotel is elegant and luxurious, and is run at the height of efficiency, while still giving off a friendly, unstuffy vibe that allows you to relax and really feel like you are on vacation. The staff is very welcoming and friendly.

Our suite faced the ocean on the north wing of the hotel. The rooms are very large, almost as big as my first apartment in LA. The rooms had fine linens and amenities. The large bathrooms don’t seem like an afterthought, as they do in most hotels. There were fruit and nibbles in the room, as well as complimentary bottled water. Turn down service always came with a sweet treat.

The breakfast buffet in the Azure Restaurant is bountiful and worth getting up for in the morning. My husband enjoyed raw oysters and shrimp. We had an amazing dinner experience at the Azure as well. We had springbok for the first time as part of a prix fixe sampler for dinner, and it was sublime. The service is excellent as well, with a smiling wait staff, especially Elton. We enjoyed a traditional high tea in the Leopard Bar. Their tea service for two is more suitable for four, unless you haven’t eaten all day.

Our touring schedule was quite full, so we didn’t get a chance to enjoy the pool, spa, or hiking trails in the hills behind the hotels. Also, there is a movie screening room that seemed to be very popular, but we couldn’t make time for it. 12A is about 20-30 minutes from the V&A Waterfront and the hub of town, which for me, added to its allure. However, the hotel runs a free shuttle service to town every hour.

I wish we could have stayed longer. Maybe next time.

Room Tip: If it is within your price range, pick a ground floor ocean-facing room on the north end.

Dear Trip Advisor Reviewer,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at the Twelve Apostles hotel & Spa with our potential future guests.

We are very fortunate with the wonderful location of the “12A” as we have Table mountain in our back yard and the Atlantic Ocean glistening in the front with arguably the best sunset in the city.
We pride ourselves with the personalised and attentive service to make each guest feel like royalty. Breakfast is always a high light in the Azure and we have something for everyone to indulge for the all-important first meal of the day.

Our version of the traditional afternoon tea “Tea by the Sea” is also a firm favourite of many guests and local residents and very happy to read that you enjoyed the treats.

On your next visit to us, hopefully very soon I would recommend a few days of just relaxing around the hotel to catch a movie or hike up the mountain with a picnic or just soaking up some of the sun next to the Atlantic pool.

We look forward to welcoming you back very soon.

Warm Regards,

Horst W. Frehse

Whilst taking lunch with friends in the Azure Restaurant (27th October 2013) my wife became rather unwell and had to leave the table as she felt very sick and close to passing out.
Whilst we were sitting outside the restaurant, and without any prompting, Gavin Ferriera the Restaurant Manager quickly came to find me and to enquire about my wife and offered to assist in any way possible.
She felt she needed to lie down quietly somewhere and he very kindly and quickly found a room for her to rest. He also offered herbal tea, cool towels etc. to help her recover.
Fortunately she made a good recovery after an hour or so, thanks in no small part to Gavin’s kindness, and this incident has very much enhanced the already high estimation in which we hold this lovely hotel and all its wonderful and gracious staff.

Recently spent five nights at 12 Apostles at the beginning of a two week African vacation. This hotel was a really good start to our trip as the staff was absolutely impeccable. Don't remember such attentive service at any hotel regardless of price. These people know the meaning of what being a hotelier is. Every request was met with a quiet but efficient response with the right touch. Booked a winelands tour for us as well as dinner at two fine restaurants in Camps Bay. The breakfast buffet was excellent as was the dinner in Azure. Overall, this place cannot be beat even though it is a little ways out from the center of Capetown.

I have been to the Twelve Apostles many times, usually for dinner but also just for drinks. The hotel is stunning, the spa you have to see to believe, like an underground grotto, it looks amazing and treatments offered are extensive. The views are stunning, either the sea view from the front or mountains to the rear, awesome!

Room Tip: Try to get a sea view room, be sure to hang out on the upper balcony from the bar
