“Fantastic all round”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 June 2014

Thank you for a fantastic stay - everything was perfect - loved the idea of continental breakfast in the room - specifically as a single person on a working trip - did not have to rush through to breakfast room and could have breakfast in my room at my own leisure. Great idea!!! All round fantastic and will definitely be back

We stayed at the cottage lavender suite for four nights as part of our honeymoon but our time there was absolutely worthwhile. The suite was simply excellent, with a good view and it was just as it appeared on the website. Pam and Steve were very warm and helpful and we loved the idea of making our own schedule as it came without having the classic hotel schedule. The neighborhood had good eating places a few minutes away and this made our days of endless enjoyment. We plan to be back for an anniversary or vacation in future. All we think is that the experience was 'ohh so heavenly'!

Room Tip: The lavender is purely so and am sure the aquamarine is nothing less.

We spent 2 nights in the lovely Aquamarine suite. For us Camps Bay is the place to be in Cape Town and when you see the stunning view from the balcony you will understand why Cape Rose Cottage is the place to stay! The rooms are well appointed with great attention to detail and special touches such as chocolates on the pillow each night and home made cookies in the biscuit barrel! Fantastic lounge to share on the balcony with plenty of books, magazines and DVDs for that quiet night in. Kitchen with fridge, microwave and toaster allows flexibility to eat in or eat out or just to chill down that bottle of wine ready for the stunning sunset over the sea whilst sat on the balcony. Breakfast is simple but after all the lunch and dinners in Cape Town, you don't need much and we loved the flexibility of being able to have it when we wanted it. We'll be back and will send our friends!

Room Tip: First floor rooms have shared balcony with stunning view

We spend 3 nights at Cape Rose Cottage. It is a wonderful place outside Capetown but everything (city, cable car table mountain) is reachable within 15 min. by car or bus.
The sea view from the balcony is great. We enjoyed the sunset on the balcony with a glass of wine. We felt very comfortable and welcome at Pam and Steves home. We really enjoyed our 3 days at Cape Rose Cottage !!!! Thanks a lot !

I stayed from the 14 till the 19 of March 2014 in the Aquamarin room in Cape Rose Cottage and enjoyed my stay very much. Pam and Steve are great hosts and give the best advice on what do do around and in Cape town. Always very friendly and willing to help. The B&B is located in perfect setting with seaview and twelve apostels view at the same time.
The rooms are beautifully decorated and you find absolute everything you need in the room.
I enjoyed the little kitchen that the rooms have very much because you can have breakfast any time you want. Pam and Steve even organized different kinds of glutenfree bread for me.
This was the perfect relaxing holiday -I will definitly be back.

Thanks very much!

Room Tip: all the rooms are beautiful-if you enjoy a seeview take the aquamarin or the lavender room. But you...

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Lavender Room, My sister and her husband stayed in the Aquamarine room and my friends stayed in the garden room. This place is absolutely fantastic! The scenery is to die for! The rating of this accommodation is 5 star plus! The rooms are decorated to the highest standard with an enormous lounge room for everyone to share and have a drink from the 'honest' bar. The luxurious spacious rooms are cleaned and prepared everyday except Sunday by two lovely sisters. Pam and Steve, the owners, have catered for every need, even a little box of chocolates left on the bed every day. They are the most pleasant people I've ever met and nothing is too much trouble. Any questions and you tend to find the answers are already there on the table in lounge! They are not intrusive but you just know they are there if you need them. I cannot recommend this enough as its the best place I've every stayed and I've travelled to many places and stayed in lots of B & B's! If I ever go back to Camps Bay then I will not think twice to where I'll be staying.
We are all cyclists and went over to do the Cape Argus, they happily stored our 4 bikes for us and let us put them together on the balcony whilst sunning ourselves.
They've placed the big bath tubs in a position that you can see the view whilst in the bath! It was great how the place was designed and you are constantly finding little trinkets that set off the decor to suit the style of the room.
All your breakfast needs are at hand within your own private kitchenette so you can eat breakfast any time you wish and on your own if thats your choice, you could always eat it out on the balcony with the other guests if you so wish - which is what we did as it was my sister!
There is plenty to do in and around Cape Town and Steve and Pam will more than happily assist you with the best places to go and how to get there.
Thank you Pam and Steve, you made our holiday wonderful.
Donna and Joe

We found Cape Rose Cottage in Camps Bay Area through Trip Advisor. It is a small and charming (self catering) villa managed by Pam and Steve, a gracious and wonderful couple. The location is as good as it gets …. the Villa is located in the quiet residential part of the Camps Bay on a hill, with a majestic view of the Atlantic from the first floor rooms. The rooms themselves are well furnished and very thoughtfully done up. Each room has a kitchenette with essential items. The hosts are very friendly and helped us with many small nuances of how we should go about touring Cape Town that we found very helpful.

The Cottage is located just about 20 minutes drive from V&A Waterfront and 10 minutes from the Table Top Mountain Cable Car Station. A wide range of restaurants are just 15 walk / 5 minutes drive away.

For local transportation, there are convenient Hop-on hop-off Redbus that passes by from close to the Camps Bay beach area (15 minutes walk from the Cottage). Reliable taxis can be arranged at a short notice. However, we felt that having a rented car is the best option, true in general, for anyone visiting Cape Town.

For a first time visitor to the beautiful city of Cape Town, we could not have found a better place to stay. Great value for money.

Room Tip: Ask for the rooms on the First Floor; they have a magnificent view of the Ocean. Another tip in g...
