The hotel was so quite and pretty that we felt like in paradise! And the best was : Service!! I had great breakfast every morning! Fresh Croissants, bread, fresh fruits, nuts, scramble eggs, juice, anything you want, they will try their best for you! And I even recieved a birthday cake from them! Is that not amazing? Managers were always there if we need any informations, even 24 hours for us! Wow!

Great view, good service and warm hospitality - that is what I experienced during my 2 months stay at Diamond House. It really has become a home away from home for me - very recommendable for a long term stay. Relaxed atmosphere and you can have your privacy. Beaches as well as the City bowl of Cape Town are easy to reach, many good restaurants are close by.
Many thanks to the team for making my stay unforgettable.

A wonderfull place to stay in Cape Town! Guest house in private atmosphere in a residental area in Camps Bay / Cape Town. We felt immediately "at home". Wonderful, helpful management, who were pleased to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Questions regarding restauraunts, trips were answered always with very good recommendations if asked.

Our room (Kingfisher Suite) had an astonishing ocean view and a balcony, . Comfortable double bed with two mattrasses, two separate covers- wonderful. Safe, minibar, kettle, hairdryer, bath robe ... all you need is in the room.

Lounge was spacious; house has sauna and outdoor swimming pool.

Fantastic place to stay!!!

My fiance and I stayed here for 4 nights as part of a 2 week trip around South Africa in February 2010. We found the hotel to be adequate. It had breathtaking views of the sea, Table Mountain and the Lion's Head. Zac, who we belive was the manager, was very helpful and always happy to answer any questions. The female owner was not as helpful and we did not like the way in which she reserved tables at breakfast for a German couple, who did not even turn up for breakfast util late in the morning. The only apparent explanation for their preferential treatment was because they were native to her country. The breakfast was plentiful and varied.

We found it to be quite expensive for what it was but so are most of the hotels in Camps Bay. The rooms were well equipped with adaptor plugs and insect repellent but they are in need of modernisation, in particular the bathroom suite.

They have a computer equipped with the internet, which is available for guests to use free of charge.

We did not find the room to be hot. It is true that there is no air conditioning but there was a well placed ceiling fan above our bed, which provided ample ventilation. However, the fan was quite loud and we were slightly concerned that it could have fallen onto us!

The area surrounding the guesthouse is peaceful and set well back from the main road. However, this did mean that it was a good 30 - 40 minute downhill walk into the centre of Camps Bay. Car Hire is an absolute must!!

We had an issue with the security of the house, which we did not think was great. The side door into the pool area was very flimsy and often left unlocked, and the responsibility for locking the french doors from the pool area into the house was left left with the guests. This was not always done and it was not pressed upon us when we arrived. Had we not noticed the sign on the french doors, we would not have been aware of this. Despite these lapses in security, this was luckily not too much of an issue because of the safe neighbourhood.

Overall it was a pleasant stay and we would recommend it as a good base for exploring Camps Bay and Cape Town.
