Very nice room in a pretty guest house. Great breakfasts included. Rooms are spacious, cocktails and/or wine available and delivered. Charming staff and a really lovely way to enjoy a busy city while feeling that you are in someone's private home. Very helpful folks with cabs, tours, etc. Reasonable and well worth it!

The B&B is located very centrally and if you like the old english style. It is very good value for money, clean and with an excellent service level by the staff.
It is a pity that there is no good internet available, however the staff allowed us to use the companies laptop. super.

We didnt have a great experience with this place, but our experience may have been unique so I wouldnt tell people to stay away, but couldnt give it a glowing recommendation.

The service and quality of the rooms was good and the location was great. It doesnt have secure carparking, but the local streets seem safe and dont have a lot of traffic. There is a pool, but it is really just a token pool so stay away if you really want to swim. But for most people this place is probably a good bet.

Our negative experience was that we arrived to check in on a friday evening and noone was around. We tried to ring but noone answered. Eventualoly another guest let us into the courtyard and rang the manager for us. She was no halp and told us we would need to find another place to stay, despite us havig a reservation (as the place was booked up - they had double booked). We would have done this and not returned but there was a huge event on in Cape Town and there were no rooms available anywhere, so we were standed and homeless for a night. The hotel management didnt care, but luckily one of the other guests (who was with a group) gave us his room and he shared with his friend. We had to work this out between us though, as the hotel management didnt want to know. They then tried to charge both him and us for the room (so charged it twice even though they had messed us all around). Eventually they didnt charge him (I think) and only gave us a 20% discount (despite having us sitting on a street for 4 hours).

Nice enough litle guaest house with pleasant rooms. Not far from Lion's Head and the Cableway. Quiet area with no real security problems. Staff make an effort, breakfast average. The pool could do with a clean but overall not a bad place to stay.

This is an ideally situated guest house. Very close proximity to table mountain, the waterfront, the major roads. The staff were very pleasant and Tamboerskloof is a wonderful place to walk aroud in. Overall very well situated. The things to do in cape town are endless a beautiful city. The restaurants recommended were good with our favourite being Beleza which is very close.

Stayed in early July. Photographs on their website show it off at its best. Room was good. Service not so good. One of the main reasons I chose this was the promise of wireless access to internet because I had 'stuff' to do. Wireless didn't work and there seemed no interest in making it work. The one m/c in the bar accessible was incredibly slow. Breakfast okay but not sumptuous as had been described.
Enjoyed Cape Town itself - I highly recommend the hop-on hop-off bus that takes you all around Cape Town and behind Table Mountain - if you were to stay on it the whole time the trip is just under 3 hours. Do it over 2 days and stop off at a couple of places - eg Botanical Gardens. Catch the first bus of the day to give you most time.
