My husband and I stayed at the dysART hotel for 5 days at the end of Jun. We had the most fabulous time. Wonderful room, with fab sea view, amazing bathroom, and all the mod cons. Perfect for relaxing and chilling out after a very busy period. The hotel design is amazing, more like something in Miami rather than CT. Everything has been thought of and even though it was cold when we were there the under floor heating in the room coped admirably! Breakfast is superb, freshly cooked to order and plentiful. Peter was a very genial host and we felt very well looked after by Martin. And the ART is fantastic. I almost don't want to write this review because I want to know that there will be room to stay there when I go back in the future.

Room Tip: Room 6 has sea view. Gnd flr has o/s shower!

My husband and I stayed 3 nights and were very happy with everything except that we couldn't get internet connectivity in our room, probably because it was the room furthest from the router in the kitchen. It had the sea view, but had I known I would have blown off the view for the connectivity. Staff were all helpful both in the booking phase and while we were there, booking restaurants, taxis, one-day car rental etc. for us. It's in a quiet neighborhood but I walked to the V&A waterfront in about 15 minutes and it was only a 25 minute walk to the CBD. The bathroom was luxurious with a big shower and heated floors. Breakfast was generous with plenty of choices. The pool looked lovely, but it was winter so we didn't try it out. If we ever were to go back to Cape Town, I would stay there again.

We stayed at dysArt for over a week in May and had a great time. We had a wonderful stay and we felt that the hosts provided us with excellent service tailored to our needs.
The room was very luxurious and nice decorated.
Breakfasts are lovely and fresh - lots of fresh fruit, meat, cheese, muffins, eggs and perfect made coffee!

Location is 10 minutes walk to the restaurants and Waterfront.
Would highly recommend DysArt to anyone who wants a luxurious stay with a personal touch.

We stayed at the Dysart Hotel on our way to 10 day safari in Botswana and found it on Trip advisor and really enjoyed our stay. Lo and Peter are nice hosts who really look after you and can recommend restaurants and things to do in the area. They gave us a list of wineries to visit in the winelands that were great suggestions. The best was Delaire that had an amazing restaurant that could match or exceed any in Napa Valley. The views and food were outstanding!!

The rates at Dysart are really affordable and Lo gave us a few glasses of wine on arrival as we sat in lounge talking with her about our plans. The breakfast buffet was expansive with lots of fruit, cheeses, and cereals. If you wanted hot meal just order what ever you want and they will prepare it. The bathrooms in room are very modern and well stocked and the beds large and comfy with your own teddy bear. The only downside was the pool was too cool to swim in but hey it was the start of winter there. The neighborhood is safe, contrary to another review. The Greenpoint area has gone under a huge renovation due to World Cup matches that were held at the stadium across the boulevard down the hill. Next to it is the Greenpoint garden park that is so beautiful to stroll and see lots of birds and native plants. All the restaurants were a 5-15 minute walk from the hotel. Go to the Italian deli and store down and around the corner...best espresso in town and imported foods from Italy.

Next time in Capetown we will definitley stay again at the Dysart!

Cheers!
Brian and Brian

After a lovely weekend I thought I would just post a note here saying how much our family enjoyed staying at dysArt. We had a great time, and the advice of the staff (Peter and Dennis) was priceless. They recommended restaurants and car hires that were perfect.

Also, just in response to the post regarding the loss of valuables during a stay at this hotel: when we checked in we were advised on how to use the safe...which we didn't. We are of the 'relaxed' attitude that our stuff isn't going to walk away. This is to say, we left a laptop and an iPad in the room on a regular basis and they were exactly where we left them when we got back. I know some people will find this negligent...but this is how we roll :) Any in-house issues must have been dealt with and the hotel struck me as very professional.

Otherwise, best breakfast ever, and very comfortable rooms!
Stay here if you can!

Dysart is located nearby the waterfront at walking distance. We had a very friendly welcome, they even arranged transport from the airport to the hotel at low costs. The bedroom was very spacious with a well equipped, floor heated bathroom. The owners of the hotel/guesthouse were very friendly and helped us out with everything we wanted to know about Capetown. In the morning we had a tasty breakfast with fresh fruit, juices and cheese ( for dutch people very important....) And of course eggs the way you like them. For us it was a perfect beginning of our stay in South Africa!
