“Great Pool”
Reviewed 16 January 2014

The Hotel stay was nice, we stayed in a few rooms, Room 7 was my least favorite, it is in the main building, room 17 was nice, it was spacious, and new. We really enjoyed the service and friendly staff, especially Burgdon (spelling), JP, and Phil. They went out of their way to make us feel at home in Cape Town. The food was nice, and the drinks were also. The open pool area was great, we made several new friends just sitting around, really friendly people all around. Great place to stay. A very close taxi ride to everything.

Room Tip: We enjoyed Room 17, right by the pool, but make sure you claim your chair by the pool quickly so you...

Recently stayed at the Glen over xmass/nye this year. The hotel accommodation was nice but what impressed me most was the service. They really took the time to take care of everything you might need. Big thanks to Phil, Phillip, RUDI, JP, and DOUDOU. You guys were great and added to our fantastic holiday. Look forward to our next visit to Capetown.

Room Tip: I stayed in Room 1 which was a suite. It is on the street side with a small view of the water. Ver...

We received a very warm and friendly, our deluxe room and it was bathed with sunlight and had a view of the pool area. The staff is wonderful. Phil, Philip, Rudi, Bogdan, Jean-Paul, Abigail were all especially kind.

Breakfast buffet is beautiful and fresh, with eggs and other dishes available at modest surcharges. The lunches on the sun deck or by the pool are delicious and inexpensive.

The ambiance around the pool is friendly and hetero-friendly for those so inclined. Wi-Fi access points located around the facility so you can always stay connected.

The only disadvantage I can see is that you have almost no desire to go out sight-seeing in Cape Town, because I just wanted to stay at the hotel all day long!

I stayed at the Glen Boutique Hotel for three nights in early January. I was very pleased with the accomodation and the service was some of the best I experienced in all of South Africa. The check-in staff, pool attendants, and maids were friendly and efficient, and even addressed me by name throughout my stay. My only regret was that I was so comfortable there, I never wanted to leave! Thanks for the great experience!

Room Tip: I stayed in #9 by the pool with a large private terrace.

The Glen really exceeded all my expectations. Friendly staff that always greet and always willing to assist. I can highly recommend the hotel with a tranquil pool deck for lazy days and centrally located to all the hotspots around Cape Town. Do yourselves a favour and try The Glen!

Room Tip: Room 1 for me was the best but I believe room 6 is also great.

Very spacious and luxurious rooms, excellent service and breakfast. First straight friendly hotel we visited and we were certainly not disappointed. Little bit far away from the city centre, you need to go by car or taxi.

Had the best time staying in the Glen Boutique Hotel this past December. Apart from the Hotel being modern and Stunning the staff were neat, friendly and professional. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.
