“Such a lovely and friendly place”
Reviewed 28 October 2013 via mobile

We came as guests and ...became friends !
Villa Belle Ombre is well located within walking distance of center city
The place itself, the rooms and surroundings make you feel at home
The breakfast is a must just for the atmosphere not mentioning Marco the owner so helpful when it comes to what, where and how !
Definitely a place where to stay when visiting Cape Town

We had a wonderful time at this guest house. The rooms are lovely, breakfasts delicious, and hosts friendly. We enjoy walking and were able to reach most of Cape Town, and also the peak of Table Mountain and Lion's head, on foot from the Villa. They also do a good deal on car hire, which we used to explore the cape.

Quiet and nice location, and the French owner as well as GM are very pleasant, providing a high Level of individual service. Excellent linen/beds. Small sun-terrace and pool, great for a little dip. Some noise early in the morning though, when the guest house comes "to life".

We stayed here while visiting cape town. The building does have a certain charm. However our room, although it had a high ceiling, felt very cramped. It was also very stuffy despite the nice win outside. There was no air conditioning, as this was our first time to the Cape, I dont know if this is normal . We did however have a great big loud fan.

Although quiet at night, in the morning you'll be awake by at least 7 due to the racket coming from the kitchen. Breakfast was adequate.

Our towels smelt of bleach and one had bleach stains on it. Well at least it was clean I suppose. The toiletry containers had seen better days.

We were greated by a lovely french man who was very friendly and helpful.
