our family got lucky picking this from all the choices online.
we had great service from the concierge ,being there for only couple days able to arrange and book tour to Robben island though sold out .
The room suite was excellent for the family. We were on the 8th floor,it was quiet and
The view at night blue moonlit skies of the city was pretty. Has pool and bar on the terrace.
It has all the amenities , and easy walk to the waterfront.
The self sufficient suites have kitchen and laundry .I would highly recommend this to travelers.
MY boys that have traveled a lot with us felt it was the best hotel they have stayed in.

Room Tip: higher floors are best for good views and less noise from the street

We stayed a few nights at the Cape Royale Hotel and Spa as part of a package we had booked. The location was great as it was quite central and you could easily get to the main attractions in Cape Town. The rooms were great with a full self catering option as it was more like an apartment. The Skybar is a must for the great view. We were, however, disappointed with the poor service we received as it didn't live up to the pomp and ceremony the hotel emphasizes when you check in. Our breakfast seating on the first morning of our stay was disappointing and the wifi in the room didn't work and never got resolved throughout our stay. After making time on our vacation to complain to management, an attempt was made to appease us with complimentary champagne and strawberries....but it was a little too late. We've had better experiences at similar star-rated hotels in South Africa.

We had a great time at Cape Royale! The 2 bedroom apartment was big and nice for the group of us, service provided by the travel and front desk was great! Location was really good which is near a few very nice restaurants such as Manos. Had a great stay here and would definitely come back again if visiting Cape Town next time!

The location, the room is not bad at all! We got a decent deal as well!

But the hotel doesn't do buffet breakfast at all .... And on holidays it's one of the things u look forward too!

The staff here is rude and insensitive! The only nice member here is a gentleman called Sedick!

For medical reasons, all I needed was 2 hot water bags filled with hot water, I have carried my own hot water bags and requested them to help fill it up. They made such a fuss about a petty service such as this!

I didn't know how to operate the washing machine in the room, so I asked for assistance - there was a lady from house keeping who was so rude to me n put me down for not knowing how to use a washing machine !

They always are short of adapters - so maybe u wanna carry your own!

Definetly not choosing to stay here again only because the service is so bad and people are so hostile ...

The property is in a nice location and is very clean and modern. The rooms were very big and had all the appliances one would need. The only complaint about the room was is that it is very noisy when trying to sleep. The doors are heavy wood doors and when someone closes one on your floor it echoes really loudly.

By far the highlight of the Cape Royale is their concierge Sedick Achmat. I travel a lot in the States for business at luxury hotels (Ritz, Four Seasons, etc.) and I always lean on the concierge for restaurant tips. Most of the time I am only in a city for a night and when given a recommendation for that night, I end up unimpressed. Sedick however was spot on four consecutive nights. He talked to us about what we were looking for and recommended, made a reservation, and arranged transportation. We were thoroughly impressed and these evenings really enhanced our time in Cape Town.

Room Tip: The only issue was the noise. The doors to the room are big heavy wooden doors that are really loud...

After arriving to be told our room was no longer available to to plumbing issues and we could not stay in this hotel i was not happy. Our first night was then spent in a boutique hotel about 1/2mile away. They organised a driver for the night for us to be ferried about.the next day we had our bags moved back to the now available sweet. For the duration of our stay they gave us a free breakfast and one complementory meal of our choice. it Turned out that the staff could not doo enough for us. i would recommened to stay here again even though the little hick up.

When I first enter the Hotel I said WOW it looks luxurious. 2 days later $200 were stolen from my bag that was in the safe !! Until now this incident could happen anywhere but the hotel reaction was disappointing. They said the safe was open from the log tracking readings. Even though, the money was not on the table nor on the floor, it was in an envelop inside the bag and I had $1000 and $200 were stolen!!!

I opened a case with the police after I lost hope in hotel security.

I wish they will pay more attention to security and guests safety as they are classified 5 star hotel !!
