Unfortunately, I haven't found many good sushi spots in Cape Town and locals have confirmed this. Fortunately, this is one of the few good spots. Sushi is fresh if not lacking in options of fish. NIce selection of rolls, and some unique rolls as well. I particularly like the rocket roll.
We were staying in the hotel right next to the restaurant so we never had an issue with reservations as we went relatively early for dinner after work. However, there are signs everywhere saying that they limit the number of customers and you may get turned away and to essentially expect slow service and deal with it as they are short staffed and their sushi is "worth it." The service was hit or miss, more often than not could be painfully slow just to get another can of soda. I don't appreciate the attitude though I think they are just trying to be cute. If we were back in the States, I probably wouldn't go to the restaurant again if it had that attitude. I guess they realize they have the upper hand in the Cape Town sushi market.
