Like the fact that you can sit outside feel like San Francisco vibe, everyone there like a small close family and go there often. Coffee very good and the pastries something different not the usual that you will get at a bakery

The seating area is limited, and that's a given. Build a monster sandwich - grab a coffee - and enjoy it on the beach. Amazing food!!

Delicious food and a good Cape Town vibe all year round, try there Madonna Shiraz or Madonna Chardonnay Wines.

Seldom disappointing, Giovanni's is one the best run food emporiums in Cape Town and arguably, South Africa. Run by two brothers who both are on the spot, dedicated to quality and service. The range of goods is extraordinary in such a small space yet one can find almost everything from a packet of good organic rocket to Beluga caviar; the best oils and vinegars to wines. The staff are all knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. For take out or eat in, especially a solo meal at the counter, it's ideal. There is always a buzz especially around the outside coffee counter with daily regulars. outside, under a shelter and not part of Giovanni's, is the best flower seller in Cape Town. Expensive but the flowers last long past any equivalent i've experienced.

I came for a quick take aways and was left disappointed with food in the bin. Ordered salmon, butter but and stir fry. This took a lot of effort as the staff was more focused on cleaning up than helping customers, no courtesy was given if there anything else needed d they just simply went back to cleaning. The butternut had a very strange taste can not make out what exactly, and seemed to ooze some watery substance when bitten into. The stir fry simple word is appawling. Felt like slimy noodles with some brown sauce. The fish, considering it is salmon lacked any flavour. Doubt I would ever go back, a plus though is the red velvet cupcake seems to be fresh and moist, along with the coffee. Rest of food went straight to the bin, considering it cost over R200 for the meal poor quality, a woolworths meal would cost cheaper and taste better
