Hosts were gracious and welcoming. Place was modern. Breakfast was very good and satisfying.
Room was small. Entrance/Exit house door and gate were difficult to use. No mountain views. Place is more suitable for younger people.

I stayed for 2 days at The Gap Lodge. It is literally at the bottom of Table Mountain and has beautiful views of Cape Town. Fuss-free and easy to feel at home. I was hardly around during the day and went out til late but for a B&B the exclusivity is almost like a hotel's, you can come and go as you please.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Gap Lodge. It's in walking distance from the lively Kloof Street with its many nice restaurants.
Linda and Leroy are wonderful hosts who take very well care of their guests.
The room was a bit small, but has all it needed and everything was very clean and in good shape.
The breakfast was buffet style with a choice of different cereals, bread and yoghurt, fresh fruit salad, fresh coffee and a variety of different egg styles to choose from.
We have just one small complain and that is the noise of traffic (we slept with the windows open): Newport Street itself is a very small, quiet street, but the lodge is located on the top of the street and around the corner is the busy Kloof Neck Street.
But then, the bed slept so well, that once asleep we didn't wake up till the next morning!

Gap Lodge is located perfectly to experience Table Mountain area and Cape Town in general. Lots of restaurants close by in Kloof Street. Linda And Le Roi are very friendly hosts and made us feel at home at once.

The owners were very friendly and open. We stayed only for a single night, but were very pleased with the service and the price / service ratio. The doubleroom was appropriate in size, although not really spacious.
The location was very good for walks into the town centre.
The location has a very nice view into the neighbours garden, which seems to be a 'Dschungle' (in its positive sense with lots of large green trees).
