What makes this boutique hotel are the staff and the location. Janese and Shannah are over the top helpful, kind and always with a smile on their faces. They made restaurant bookings for us as well as assisting us with local information, tour driver, and any other needs we had both during the booking process and once we arrived including finding an eye doctor who was open on a national holiday. They made us feel welcomed and nothing was too difficult - It was like we were guests in their home.

The Villa Zest is very reasonably priced especially considering its location. The back area of the property offers a variety of shady or sunny places to sit, a lap pool, tables and chairs and a lovely deck including a small covered couch area with fit pit. We sat outside a number of times and really enjoyed the peaceful setting.

We only saw two of the rooms, the one our friends stayed in and ours which was number 5. While # 5 is a tad small, there is a lot of storage space, a wonderful shower and sufficient towels and amenities. The bed was comfortable and very quiet at night —- a real plus.

Our friends’ room, #6, was quite large with a big bathroom and also lots of storage. The downside is that it is adjacent to the breakfast area and they could hear chairs being moved in and out as people arrived for breakfast. Fortunately, we began our days early so it didn’t present a problem. Perhaps pads on the chair legs would solve this.

The breakfast is really nice, especially for such a small hotel. The breakfast included lots of fresh fruit, cereals, cooked breakfasts along with pastries, meats and cheeses, dried fruits and nuts, yogurt -something for everyone. The serving staff was incredibly attentive and very eager to help —before we knew it we had a fresh cup of coffee waiting for us.

We stayed in the hills on our last visit to Cape Town and decided this location was better as it was walkable to most anywhere— central city, V&A Waterfront, the aquarium and green point bars and restaurants. There is also a chemist, Spar market and dry cleaners near by, although VZ offers reasonable and well done laundry and dry cleaning.

Villa Zest is a solid boutique hotel and the staff is really brilliant.

This is such a lovely spot. A little oasis so close to everything. The staff were very helpful from arranging tours and taxis to giving suggestions on favorite restaurants and areas to explore in the city. Great breakfast. Such attention to details and little touches in the room. Very personal service. I can't recommend this place enough!

I have stayed here before and had another very good two night stay here earlier this month. The usual warm welcome, love the pool and garden, and just a short walk to some good cafes and restaurants. A bit of late-night noise from the next door neighbours having a party in the garden, but hardly the fault of the hotel.

Well situated in a quiet neighborhood within a short walk to the V&A waterfront. Staff is exceedingly helpful and went out of their way to arrange everything from taxis to last minute dinner reservations. Lovely pool and courtyard, bright and spacious common area. Unique rooms were comfortable and clean with all the amenities. Breakfast is an excellent quality Euro style buffet paired with additional made to order entrees. The staff enjoy what they do and reflect the dedication to hospitality inspired by the owner Kevin. You can't go wrong staying at Villa Zest.

We stayed here for four nights in January before heading off to Tanzania on safari. The hotel is excellent in all aspects, the breakfasts, rooms, location but especially the staff - they really couldn't do enough for you. So friendly and helpful, especially Janese, the Manager. From recommending places to visit, to organising taxi's and day trips out she was wonderful in every way. Situated in Green Point only a 10 minute walk from the waterfront, with a couple of very nice restaurants 3 minutes walk from the hotel.

Room Tip: Barbarella, on the ground floor, is lovely, you walk straight out into the garden, like having your...

what a superb find this hotel is, friendly welcome from the night porter, the room was great, white and comfortable with wifi. Breakfast was outstanding, excellent coffee, juice, fruit and eggs! best of all was the helpfulness and enthusiasm of the lady on reception(Janice) , if you want a few nights in CT close to where its all happening at green point and the waterfront the hotel is perfect.
