3 super days in Cape Town. We picked VZ deliberately and they met our expectations to the full extent. Super service, good location, nice people. Every staff member greets you personally
This is a safe choice in Cape Town.

Only spent one night passing through Capetown but it was a nice guest house with very friendly and helpful staff in a good location. Very good breakfast. The only thing, as mentioned, is the bathrooms being incorporated into the bedroom may not be to everyone's taste. In our room the toilet, at least, was in a tiny glass doored room of it's own

From the minute we walked in until we left, we were very pleased with everything. Customer service was wonderful, everyone helped us arrange our outings from advice to getting us taxis to making reservations at restaurants. I was very very pleased with their attitude and their professionalism. Breakfast was amaaaazing, hot or cold, they really had an amazing presentation and very delicious. Very clean and the rooms are well decorated and maintained. We may end up going back to Cape Town to do the shark diving cage cause we couldn’t do it due to rainy weather. If/when we do, we will definitely stay at Villa Zest. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone...

What makes this boutique hotel are the staff and the location. Janese and Shannah are over the top helpful, kind and always with a smile on their faces. They made restaurant bookings for us as well as assisting us with local information, tour driver, and any other needs we had both during the booking process and once we arrived including finding an eye doctor who was open on a national holiday. They made us feel welcomed and nothing was too difficult - It was like we were guests in their home.

The Villa Zest is very reasonably priced especially considering its location. The back area of the property offers a variety of shady or sunny places to sit, a lap pool, tables and chairs and a lovely deck including a small covered couch area with fit pit. We sat outside a number of times and really enjoyed the peaceful setting.

We only saw two of the rooms, the one our friends stayed in and ours which was number 5. While # 5 is a tad small, there is a lot of storage space, a wonderful shower and sufficient towels and amenities. The bed was comfortable and very quiet at night —- a real plus.

Our friends’ room, #6, was quite large with a big bathroom and also lots of storage. The downside is that it is adjacent to the breakfast area and they could hear chairs being moved in and out as people arrived for breakfast. Fortunately, we began our days early so it didn’t present a problem. Perhaps pads on the chair legs would solve this.

The breakfast is really nice, especially for such a small hotel. The breakfast included lots of fresh fruit, cereals, cooked breakfasts along with pastries, meats and cheeses, dried fruits and nuts, yogurt -something for everyone. The serving staff was incredibly attentive and very eager to help —before we knew it we had a fresh cup of coffee waiting for us.

We stayed in the hills on our last visit to Cape Town and decided this location was better as it was walkable to most anywhere— central city, V&A Waterfront, the aquarium and green point bars and restaurants. There is also a chemist, Spar market and dry cleaners near by, although VZ offers reasonable and well done laundry and dry cleaning.

Villa Zest is a solid boutique hotel and the staff is really brilliant.
