We were fortunate to be upgraded to The Dock House. It is close to all of the waterfront activities and venues but a million miles away with respect to its quiet sophisticated warmth and charm. I arrived after climbing Mount Kilimanjaro for nine days and spent an afternoon at the spa; the staff and facilities were wonderful and made me feel relaxed, pampered and ready to spend time on the next phase of my trip to Africa.

If you are thinking of staying somewhere else in Cape Town, don't! The hotel is so comfortable and the rooms are beautifully decorated. We had a balcony which gave spectacular views over the V&A Waterfront which is literally at the bottom of the garden. Kelly and her team could not have been more helpful, but were never intrusive. A jewel which we hope to return to soon.

After traveling for almost 3 weeks in South Africa what delight and joy to arrive here at Dock House! A warm welcome, stunning bedroom with balcony and beautiful views over the V&A water front.
