The One&Only lived up to our expectations which were pretty high, given the reputation (and price)
We stayed three nights in one of the rooms on the "island" where the main pool is, a couple of minutes walk from the main building. The room was large, very comfortable and well equipped as you would expect. The balcony had a view of Table Mountain (sort of) above the swanky apartment blocks behind the hotel.
Everything was pretty good, although we were not very demanding as we were out a lot. Only minor criticism was of repeated delays getting taxis or our car returned, even when we called ahead to the concierge with a ten minute warning. Small thing, but unnecessary and easy to fix.
Main bar service was good, cocktails very good value for an hotel, and pool service friendly.
We did not use the spa, or Nobu, and review Reubens restaurant separately (very positively)More
