“What an amazing experience”
Reviewed 29 June 2014

I absolutely LOVED being entertained at Madame Zingaras, From the moment you arrive you are transported to a new world. I think it was possibly the best night out I have ever had. What terrific acts. The food may not be the best I have ever tasted, but it certainly was more than satisfactory, and dont forget you spend the entire night marvelling at your surroundings and the acts that unflod while you are eating, drinking and being merry.

“Glitz and glam and a great time.”
Reviewed 16 June 2014

Seriously one of the best evenings out I have ever had! On arrival we were quickly shown to our table, inside the large wooden tent, where our very friendly waitress explained to us how the evening would unfold. We had our drinks on the table in under 5 minutes(cocktails and all) and our orders for all three courses were taken right away. The show was spectacular and the cast wowed the audience with shows of amazing talent and skill. During the breaks between acts the waitrons delivered food to everyone at amazing speeds(practically running) and not needing to ask who had ordered what. The food was delicious and was presented very well in very generous portions. At the end of the show we were all full and very entertained and the tent then became a nightclub with the cast and the audience taking to the stage to dance. You do have to book in advance. Overall an amazing experience! DO NOT MISS IT!!!

“Did not expect this in South Africa”
Reviewed 18 May 2014

One of the best evenings we have experienced in ages. The show was very entertaining and they have perfected the service.
the food was good but not excellent. Considering they serve 420 people in an evening they do a pretty good jog.
I had the lamb Shank which could have been cooked longer to get it more tender. My partner had the Salmon which was tasty but not very hot .
Fore sure we will book again next year

“but a shadow....”
Reviewed 3 May 2014

my first visit to madame zingara's tent world was in 2008 and it was glorious. stunning show, mouth watering food. service slow, but friendly.
my second visit to madame zingara's tent world was sufficiently off putting that i will not be back. our party was seated in a booth. these should come with warnings. they are immensely uncomfortable and if you are seated on the sides you can not see the show. all you see is your own reflection in a glass pillar.
the food was cold. it was not the kind of food that is supposed to be served cold. furthermore, dessert was a plate of chocolate with no options for those who are not that mad about the stuff.
service is still slow and in addition sloppy. prancing around with big trays of side orders some waiters bumped into each other and smashed trays on top of one another. this food was not taken back to the kitchen to be replaced, but served up to paying customers.
i can go on, but it will only add to what i've already wrote.
