We recently stayed at the Taj Cape Town - just for one night (could have stayed a week!) From the minute we arrived we were treated like royalty - the Doormen gave us a great welcome and from then on it didnt stop. I left my cellphone in my car (had valet parking) and it was bought to me whilst I was wallowing in the pool! The rooms are beautifully decorated and large and the bathrooms are lovely. A trip to the Spa is a must - so relaxing. Had a lovely night in Twankies Bar @ the hotel followed by a night cap in the Cigar Lounge....A few words for Faith who seemed to be around all the time - you are a credit to the hotel - so bubbly and accomodating but then again ALL the staff are great - I highly recommend a stay in this hotel on visiting Cape Town - its also very central to all sight seeing places ....

Room Tip: All rooms great...

This is a very centrally located, extremely well appointed, clean and individual hotel. The staff are extremely friendly, attentive, fast and professional. The leisure facilities are modern, uncrowded and relaxed.

The views from the standard rooms at Table Mountain are breathtaking.

Only slight, and I mean slight, is the breakfast. It's fine, but not exciting. Being British, I'd have liked bacon!

Room Tip: Facing the mountain.

Normally I wait until my stay is over at a hotel, but this time I know what I want to say. Excellent by all standards. Service, cleanliness, bed, shower and amenities are all 5 star. Location is perfect for exploring this part of Cape Town. Bishop Tutu's cathedral is across the street. The green market square is a block away. The nightlife of Longstreet is two blocks away. The room is large, the bathroom is huge.

A fantastic property of a renowned chain - everything perfect! We were lucky to have rooms overlooking the Desmon Tutu Cathedral and the Table Mountain. Rooms are elaborate and nothing is missing, with the small details taken care of. The breakfast is sufficiently stocked with all the basic needs and staff are attentive to address all your needs. Perefect location for a stroll down the famous streets of Cape Town and the bay is a short taxi ride away. The concierge service was fantastic. The only negative was that the official "transport" of the hotel was always unavailable.

Room Tip: The rooms in the front have a lovely view of Table mountain

We have stayed in Taj Cape Town for 7 nights and really enjoyed our stay. We found the location excellent as we prefered city centre to the Waterfront.
The check in was quick and we were given a tour of our room by one of the staff. We have booked a Mountain View Luxury Room and first night stayed in room 1605 on 16th floor. We were not too happy with the view as it was mostly of the Lion's Head so asked for another room. This was not a problem and we were given room 1008 which had great views of Table Mountain and the Lion's Head also. The room was spotless, always perfectly clean, there was a separate shower with rain shower and handheld shower also. We loved the bath, very big and you could sit in it and watch TV through the glass screen :) The toiletries smelled really nice and the body lotion was more like a cream, not too runny.
The bed was just perfect, not too hard and not too soft with pillow menu. The chairs were very comfortable, the internet was fine, enough of TV channels (our favourite was the Animal Planet).
You can hear the traffic outside but we always have earplugs when we travel so noise was not a problem for us.
All staff were very friendly, always smiling and greeting us some even by our name. During breakfast Faith was always lovely, greeted us by our name then politely asked us about our plans for the day, she was such a joy.
The only thing which could be a bit better was the breakfast, not really better, it was good, just a bit varied would be nice if you staying for a week like we did.
We would stay in Taj Cape Town again, we loved our stay.

Room Tip: overlooking the Table Mountian if possible
