Stayed at Pepper Club for five nights at the end of September/beginning of October.

The general feel of the hotel was great with efficient and friendly staff (especially the lady at the concierge desk who helped out a few times during our stay) and the whole hotel was clean and modern.

Our room did not have a view of Table Mountain but was again very clean and modern with a good sized outdoor patio area.

We did not use the pool or concierge service to Pepper Club on the Beach that the hotel offers.

The bar had some nice cocktails which we enjoyed every evening we were there. We did not eat at Sinatras but breakfast was served here which for a hotel of this calibre was quite disappointed in. They had the standard cereals, cheeses, eggs, bacon etc but compared to the other hotels on this trip that we stayed at did not have items such as smoked salmon, fresh omelettes etc.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again in Cape Town as it was very modern, the staff were helpful and friendly and the hotel is in a great position for the bars/restaurants and clubs of Loop Street but still within a 10 minute drive to the Waterfront.

Room was very good with a fantastic view of table mountain. Decor modern and impressive. Sadly, that is where the good stuff ends. Wi-Fi did not work for the whole time we were there (which for a business hotel is shockingly poor). Printers didn't work. They got two people from 'Maintenance' to try and fix it but they were not so go with IT stuff and looked like they were there to do the handiwork rather that fix printers - needless to say, after turning the power on and off they gave up. Concierge desk was manned by whichever random member of staff happened to be available and messed up a simple restaurant booking by getting the date wrong. The two tiny lifts were inadequte for the 15 floors. Very noisy location with music banging out until the small hours. Basically - best to swerve this hotel until they get their act together!

Room Tip: Ensure you get a high room facing table mountain - great view.

We stayed for 2 nights at the end of November. We arrived early from a cruise and as our room wasn't ready they kept our luggage while we went out. We requested a quiet room and got 1205 which was perfect. We were away from all the noise of Long Street! Granted we didn't have a view of Table Mountain but you don't need that from your room as anywhere you go in Cape Town you have that view! Our room was spacious and had everything we needed. The staff were friendly and greeted us every time we went in and out of the hotel. The shuttle bus went to and from the Waterfront every 3 hours (2 hours on Sunday). We had continental breakfast on one morning and it was lovely. I would definitely stay there again if I was in Cape Town and recommend it to friends.

Room Tip: Room 1205 is excellent if view is not important to you.

A relaxing weekend away became sleepless nights. The arrival fell short attention because we assisted ourselves to the lobby. The check-in was done by staff that clearly was not comfortable or experienced. It took some time before it was just a matter of getting to our suite, even if we took our own luggauge. The Suite was okay but not elegant as was expected. From 22h00 until 04h00 in the morning the noise literally vibrates through you. The service staff was like zombies going about their routine, no interest in brightening up the day. The wifi connection or the lack thereof was so annoying that we gave up hope on getting it resolved. The pool was a joke on us because we went for a late swim but was met with cold water and returned to the suite feeling rather cheated through the advertising.

A bit of a mixed review for the Pepper Club. The location is excellent and close to the centre and the restaurants and night life of Long Street. The rooms are good, clean and we had a suite which gave us quite a lot of space although neither bedroom was spacious it was good for us a a couple. We were on the 17th floor which also gave us good views towards the harbour. However, there are a number of small things that just lets it down a bit and stops it from being a great hotel. There is only one lift that goes to the 17th floor, and only 2 in total which mean that quite a lot of time is taken waiting for the lift. The concierge is very helpful but again every time we wanted to ask for something there was a queue. Finally, the IT seems to be letting them down as both checking in, checking out and getting onto the wifi were problematic. Also, a tip if you want a taxi is don't ask the concierge - just get one from outside, there are always a few. We asked for one for our trip to the airport and there was clearly some arrangement between the concierge and this particular taxi - hence having to wait 30 mins when we then realised that there were a few outside that we could just walk up to.

I stayed her for a weeks with work. The hotel was in a good location and the room was very large.

I did find it strange that there was a cooker, toaster and hob, but no plates, cups or cutlery, though I never asked for any.

The food was very good and the service outstanding. Being winter, i did not get to use pool.

Would stay again.
