Situated in a good part of Cape town, close to the night life centre. Great restaurants just round the corner. Local market close by. The staff are extremely helpful and can advise you on trips in and around cape town.

Room Tip: Table mountain view is great.

The location is perfect, great views. The rooms are clean, spacious with luxurious finishes. The hotel boasts a private cinema, which we really enjoyed. The breakfast served is delicious and beats any I have had at hotels. The staff are friendly and accommodating, serve with a smile always. The reception area up to the bar is styled beautifully. Luxury through and through.

The best hotel in the CBD!

What an excellent stay we had. Wonderful, friendly staff. Very helpful. Must compliment the valet parking/service. Checking in and out smoothly and professionally. Excellent breakfast....by far the best on our trip to the Cape! We had to leave very early for our journey back to Gauteng and a lovely packed breakfast awaited us on our check out. Delicious ! We will definitely be back. :)

This was myself and my girlfriend's first trip to SA and as such we were not sure what to expect. The hotel was brilliant, there were people on the doors 24/7 and the lift only worked with your room key making us feel safer than we would at home. The rooms were clean and well laid out. They provide cooking equipment in the room, but the food in the hotel restaurant was exceptional so there was litle need to use anything.

The hotel staff were fantastic, the concierge were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much for them as they helped book trips for us, advise us on places to go and helped resolve any problems we experienced, putting our minds at ease and allowing us to enjoy Cape Town.

As for those that complain about being pestered by people asking them for money... I imagine this is probably because they made the rookie mistake of giving some money in the first place.
We were asked once for money and the hotel staff came out onto the street to make the man leave. There is a private security service hired by the mayor that is on nearly every street corner to make you feel safe, but once you talk to the people of Cape Town you soon realise that everyone is friendly and approachable and they are largely there for show.

The hotel is in a perfect position for those who want to go to Table Mountain, the Waterfront, Long street, the Tour bus route etc. There is always a taxi at the front of the hotel if needed and the concierge are always happy and willing to ring for another one if you would rather.

If this is your first trip or your 50th to Cape Town, I would recommend this hotel. I never usually write reviews about hotels I have stayed at but the Pepper Club Hotel and Spa definitely deserve it. There staff were fantastic!

Room Tip: The higher rooms, the better the views!

A well maintained modern hotel, with spacious rooms and we had additional facilities ( m/wave, toaster, cooker) that we didn't use. We had a room with balcony overlooking Loop street with views of the mountains.
Breakfast offers a varied selection of good quality, service can be slow in busy times but the staff are eager to please.
The pool is a disappointment: cold, in need of cleaning, difficult to get in and out, with many hard edges. Not sure why the y bothered.

Room Tip: Avoid the noisy night life by asking for a room on Loop Street

The hotel itself is gorgeous, and the staff is wonderful, but the location made it a miserable experience for us. It's on Long Street, which is Party Central. The thumping of music from multiple night clubs starts around 10 pm, and goes on until 4:30 in the morning. There is no escaping it, along with horns honking, police sirens, and the air horn of the party bus that carries drunks from one end of Long Street to the next. I can't describe the degree to which the thumping is intrusive; it literally vibrates the floors and walls, no matter where you are in the hotel. The staff did everything to accommodate us, but it was an impossible situation and we had to leave. We paid one night's stay as a penalty, and got a room that was $500/night (the only available room in Cape Town) just to get some relief, it was that bad.

The food in the restaurant is very good, but the bar closes down super early, so forget about an evening drink. Long Street is a rather unsavory place, and we were badgered to death by very aggressive panhandlers when we went down for dinner and a stroll. We decided to stay away from the area entirely.

It's a real shame, because it's an otherwise nice hotel.

Room Tip: Get a room as far away from Long Street as possible!
