I have had the privilege of staying at the Pepperclub Hotel on numerous occasions during business trips. Barring one particular visit, when I was booked in a room at the back of the hotel (which in itself involves a complicated trip up and down lifts and through the spa and gym area, and left me subjected to the Wednesday all-night party life of Long Street), my stays have always surpassed my expectations.
The rooms are beautifully furnished, beds are super-comfy and bathrooms are lovely. The quaint little kitchenettes would, of course, be more useful if there were actually crockery and cutlery provided. :-/ This could be problematic if you intend to self-cater.
The hotel is a little tricky to get to if you haven't been there before, and it is not close to the Waterfront. The variety offered at breakfast buffet matches any other upmarket hotel and the food is tasty.
Their service is excellent and requests are acted upon immediately. Definitely 5-star service from all the staff. I am thoroughly impressed and will definitely stay there again. It is now my hotel of choice in Cape Town.More
