“One of the things I love about Cape Town”
Reviewed 24 January 2012

I recently relocated back to Cape Town and love being back in the city, with it's amazing atmosphere and sights. There is however one attraction which you rarely see but know immediately - no matter where you are in the city bowl area - and that's the Noon Gun.

A true Cape Town landmark - helping us lost souls who never have our watches set to the right time :-)

“Fantastic find once we found it”
Reviewed 3 January 2012

View of commercial Cape Town from the top of Longmarket eluded us on a rainy day in Cape Town and it took a long way for our taxi to get us there but the food was fantastic.

“Unique in cape Town, possibly the world”
Reviewed 29 December 2011

This is a magic place. It's situated in a converted private house on the upper slopes of Signal Hill. The front terrace overlooks the Waterfront in a way no other place does. I love this spot. The curries are marvelous though perhaps a bit high priced. The service is homely and friendly. I always take visitors there, especially when there is a fireworks display at the waterfront!

“Disappointing”
Reviewed 13 December 2011

The view from the restaurant is stunning. Unfortunately the dining experience did not match it - it was rather disappointing. The menu does not have a great variety and your options are limited to anything as long as it includes curry! The prices seem rather expensive for what you get, for example R 105 for chicken curry and a rootie (two pieces of chicken only). R 12 extra for another rootie.
Our waitress did us a favour to serve the table and the service was very slow.
Do not use the bathroom! No toilet paper, washing dumped in the shower, walls partially without tiles. Very disappointing that the owners / manager do not make the most of a restaurant that could draw tourists for the wonderful view of Table Mountain, the city, Table Bay and Cape Malay cuisine experience.
