“Great Day Out with Sean”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 October 2010

We spent a day with Sean to do a 1 day tour of the winelands on our last day of our trip.
With the help of TA DE's we chose a the wineries we wanted to visit.
Sean picked us up promptly (with our luggage) at 08.00 from Camps Bay then straight to Vergelegen, had a lovely walk round the grounds then did the cellar tour and a tasting.
Next stop was Ernie Els, Sean joined us for the tasting (but did not drink any wines) which was not the best experience ( so if you ask Sean to take you to Ernie Els winery and he tries to talk you out of it blame us.)
Next to Guardian Peak for lunch, we left Sean in the car park at 1pm - we were blown away by the experience there. The setting, service and food and spent longer then than anticipated. I popped out to let Sean know were would be longer - found him sat in the shade, feet in a stream and on his laptop - no problem at all.
Left GP about 1.5 hours later than anticipated so had to drop 2 wineries from our plans and headed for Simonsig, had a lovely tasting there then off to Stellenbosch.
We had a wander round, a light early supper and our friends checked in online in an internet cafe for their flight home then we me up with Sean again and headed off to CPT airport for our flight home.
Sean was great, it really was our day and there were no problems with changing the original plans - you cannot get this level of individuality on a generic type tour.
Sean chatted to us throughout the day, we found him to be really pleasant and very informative. We had a fabulous day and I would recommend Sean Casey to anyone looking for a tour guide.

“Top marks for Sean Casey”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 October 2010

I booked Sean over the internet in the UK and gave him an idea of what we wanted to do for our sightseeing. Sean took this on board, enhanced it with some ideas of his own and we had a fabulous time. He was punctual, polite, good company and made our day special. I would highly recommend him. In fact, when we're back in Cape Town in Easter 2011 we shall be booking him once again. Definitely an excellent choice.

“Excellent service from Sean”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 October 2010

On september 5 and 6 my wife and I stayed in Cape Town prior to our overland trip to Vic. Falls.
In order to see as much as possible of the nature around Cape Town we contacted Sean by mail a few weeks before arrival from the Netherlands. On september 5 he arrived at our hotel at 9 o'clock sharp in his minibus.
Sean seemed to be a very nice man, driving carefully and having a lot of knowledge where to go to show us the nice places we wanted to see.
We were lucky that the table mountain was not closed due to heavy winds, so the first we did was going to the top. A few hours later the mountain was closed for the public.
After this visit to the table mountain we were eager to see some whales.
Sean drove us to Hermanus and did not stop at the touristic spots down town, but drove us right away to a viewing point, a little bit outside the town. Here we saw many whales a couple of meters from the coast.
Even some whales were breaching (jumping) just in front of us.
We stayed there as long as we wished. Later that afternoon we made a boat trip in the bay and saw some more whales.
After visiting Hermanus Sean drove us back to Cape Town over the coastal road which was very beautiful.
The next day Sean arrived again at nine sharp and we went to the Cape of Good Hope.
We stopped several times to enjoy the beautiful 'fijnbos' and the great variaty of plants of which many were flowering. Due to the early time of the day we arrived at the Cape at a moment that hardly tourists were there. We visited Cape Point where many breeding birds could be seen.
The next place we wanted to go to was boulders beach in Simons Town in order to see the pinguin colony.
Sean avoided the tourisitic area and drove us to a beach where another colony was settled. It was beautiful having the feeling that you are the only ones at that moment seeing the pinguins, while further away many tourists are watching these birds on another beach. At the end of the day, just before sunset, we visited the botanical garden where we saw the flowering king protea.
We were very pleased that we had chosen Sean. He appeared to be a nice and honest man with a lot of knowledge. He perfectly knew what we wanted to see and how to avoid the mass tourist flows and traffic jams.
We saw much more than we hoped to see before we contacted Sean
Very much recommended for those who don't have much time and want to see a lot on an easy way!!! .

“A great experience in Cape Town”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 October 2010

I would highly recommend Sean Casey as a tour guide/driver around Cape Town. Sean really added to our experience in Stellenbosch. One of the things that I really liked about Sean was that he was really flexible. He wasn't trying to push his agenda on us like many tour guides/drivers have in the past . If we asked him for suggestions, he would provide good ones, and when we had an idea of where we wanted to go, he would figure out the best way to do it. In the past I have had experiences in which the guide would bring me to the places he wanted to go, or where he would receive perks. This certainly wasn't the case with Sean.

Besides tailoring the trip to our desires, Sean really became part of or group. He is a well traveled guy with many stories to tell both about South Africa and other places, and he is just great to be around.
