This was our first stay at this hotel and it was a great experience. The hotel is not even 5 minutes away from the Waterfront. The service and friendliness of the staff was exceptional. A special mention must be made of the food (the lamb burgers were to die for!), we had no need to walk to the Waterfront for lunch and dinner because the food was so delicious and creative. It was very convenient to have a gym just around the corner, and the facial I had at your spa was wonderful. We will definitely be staying here on a regular basis, thank you for making our stay a memorable one.

The Queen Victoria Hotel was just about everything anyone could ask for in a hotel.
The staff, at all levels were polite, cheerful and very helpful. The accommodation was very comfortable and immaculately clean. the food was excellent and plentiful. The situation overlooking the V.& A. waterfront is quite spectacular. Good shopping within easy reach. The whole area is delightful.

Room Tip: Higher floors afford a better view of this beautiful city.

My son and I had a lovely stay here at Easter 2013 - great, personable service and excellent quality hotel infrastructure and right in the middle of the Waterfront. Classy little boutique - highly recommended

Visiting Capetown for the first time, it is highly recommended to stay around the V&A Waterfront. So we were delighted with our stay at the Queen Victoria which seems to be built on a little hill overlooking the Waterfront with direct access by stone stairs; well lit and good security around. The grounds are shared with 2 other hotels, the Portswood and Dock House, both country feel yet so distinctively unique. The QV is the most modern and stylish of the 3 hotels there and we had fab rooms. #1306 has a balcony running in a 90deg around the room which makes for excellent table mountain and waterfront views. #1213 was a little larger with not much of a view but great bathroom with a tub in the middle. Make sure your room rate includes breakfast because QV's Breakfast buffet is superb and hot breakfast can be ordered daily at no extra charge. Sparkling wine is also on the breakfast buffet. Staff was very helpful and wonderful especially the restaurant and bar crew and a special mention to front desk, Berthram - who made our stay extra special. Also try their spa Urban Beauty, the swedish massage is guaranteed to take all the kinks out of your back. Thank you QV!

Room Tip: There are only 3 floors to the QV so the highest floor (3rd floor) is better. We had corner room #1306 which has 90 degree views of table mountain and waterfront. Literally you may step out of 4 floor-to-ceiling doors to a narrow balcony skirting the room. For this view, you give up a bathtub.

We were transferred here from the Victoria & Alfred and were surprised and delighted. A beautiful hotel that is nice and quite in a great location. The staff are fabulous and rooms fantastic. The little sweet treat left at night was a yummy addition each day.
