“Fantastic hotel with a good location”
Reviewed 25 March 2014

Very good hotel and our room was good sized with a huge bathroom. The hotel has a very good location near to the Waterfront, still very quiet. The breakfast is very generous with a lot of warm dishes to choose from in the menu. The staff is very friendly and service-minded. Overall a lovely hotel.

Room Tip: Our Room was fronting the Table mountain, nice view and quiet.

The staff was very friendly. We especially enjoyed the breakfast every morning. The dining and bar staffs were both excellent and provided great service. We did have a problem with the lighting in our bathroom. The light over the sink was 1/2 burned out making it somewhat difficult to shave, etc. We asked for a new lightbulb three days in a row, but nothing was done. Apparently an electrician was need for a fixture problem and being the weekend we needed to wait until Monday. This was not communicated to us until the last night off our stay, at which point they offered to change our room. At that point, why bother? This was a minor inconvenience, but annoying just the same. However, we would stay again. Great location.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of Table Mountain.

Location so close by yet a comfortable distance from the waterfront with fantastic views of Table Mountain and the harbor. The staff is very professional, the property perfectly maintained, the rooms and baths are spacious and modern, the workout facility with views of the mountain and the harbor and lovely turn-down service with different baked treat each evening. We will be back!

Room Tip: Rooms with a balcony overlooking Table Mountain.

Was booked to stay 3 nights but after an excellent service and good food to mention a few, I ended up staying 10 nights. Located at the V&A with lots of shopping malls, good tourist area. I always look forward to their breakfast... Best French toast ever...

Extremely lovely hotel could not find at first as it's located above the V&A waterfront. Love the staff very friendly, we stayed only one night used the garden terrace to relax which does have a small pool not enough for a big swim but enough to have a dip in. Used the spa facility so we could change fotr evening flight the staff were very kind.

Queen Victoria is a special "boutique" hotel tucked away in a cobbled courtyard close enough to the hub of Cape Town yet remarkably quiet. The service is warm, personal , efficient and friendly. Nothing is too much for the team who run the hotel. I got bad flu while I stayed here and couldn't leave the room for 2 days. The front desk willingly sent the doorman to the pharmacy in the nearby mall to collect my medicine for me. And they prepared special meals that weren't on the room service menu for me. Rooms are spacious with large bathrooms and opulently decorated. Beds and linen are top quality. It's about the 6th time I have stayed here and I will be back.

Room Tip: Ask for mountain and HARBOUR facing rooms... If possible

The Queen Victoria is a modern, elegant hotel that pays homage to the rich history of V&A waterfront. The service is excellent and staff from the door and through out were professional and VERY hospitable! The room we stayed in was tastefully furnished and the bathroom was large and beautiful; bath tub large enough for two, huge walk in shower unit, twin wash basin/bathsinks. The breakfast selection was great offering a range of international and local meals; continental, full english, cereals, fruit and vegetables. They also had a selection of over 10 teas to choose from! Guests are treated like royalty indeed!

Room Tip: Room overlooking the docks give you a great view of the great ships, yatchs and barges.
