"In the Waterfront" but not quite! The hotel is elegant and warm and situated away from the madness of the Waterfront itself. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Reception is almost personal... no traditional check in counters but rather a one-to-one with the check in clerk. Only had breakfast and continental variety was plenty while the hot food was limited by an ala-carte menu...also very good though. The Waterfront is only a 5 minute stroll from the hotel, via the Springbok Experience (museum). Direct access parking is limited. Very reasonably priced.

We stayed there 3 days 2 nights after spending another 3 days at sister property Victoria&Alfred hotel. Staffs are always ready to help you and made us feel welcomed. Great breakfast. Room was super clean, comfortable and well-appointed, especially we liked the comfortable bed. Room was so nice that we didn't want to wake up and start travelling around.
It is walking distance to waterfront, which we liked the most about Capetown, and walking back and forth was surely safe. Surely we want to come back next time.

We recently had the great pleasure of staying at The Queen Victoria Hotel in Cape Town. Upon our arrival we were warmly greeted, our check in was prompt and we were given a lovely warming cup of hot chocolate, before being showed to our room. The decor of the hotel is elegant and our room was beautiful and very comfortable. We had dinner at Dash restaurant (in the hotel) and the service was impeccable - the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive! And the food was beautifully presented and incredibly delicious - one of the best I have had! Breakfast the next morning was at the V & A hotel - once again very warm and friendly staff, amazing buffet spread and hot breakfast on offer! Our stay was really wonderful and we had a great time - hope to return soon!

A very well run hotel that's a stone throw from the V&A.
Close enough, but also away from the noise as you get the dock side hotel and the Springbok museum blocking the noise from the weekend waterfront crowd.

Rooms are clean and comfortable, deservingly of a 5 star rating.

During my stay, wife decided to get the hotel's staff to assist in getting a surprise cake whilst we were our for my birthday dinner and they duly complied and left well wishes in the room as well!

Kudos to the team at the Queen Victoria hotel!

We had a great stay. The hotel was great and fabulous. Staff were very very friendly and useful (really), they went extra mile to help us and make our stay great.
They gave us an upgrade and the room was amazing, comfortable, great bathroom and tub, and the room had a view of the table mountain. Breakfast was very very good with alot of options, we liked it.
The location was great, 2 minutes walking to the waterfront.
