Owner description: The urban park was one of the legacy projects of the FIFA World Cup 2010. The area is adjacent to the Cape Town Stadium and has stunning views of both the stadium as well as Signal Hill. Lovely place to bring the kids to excercise or to have a picnic. It is also a learning experience for young and old. The garden is separated into ‘People and Plants’, ‘Wetlands’ and ‘Discovering Biodiversity’. The park hours are from 7 to 7 with visible security.

So deserving of its many design awards, this beautifully landscaped park is truly a park for everyone, young and old, to enjoy. There are several children's playgrounds, all age related, which is so good for little ones who might otherwise be overwhelmed by older children. It is wonderful to watch children enjoying parties and educational programmes at the outdoor amphitheatre. There is also an outdoor gym, labyrinth and many areas to explore, including a biodiversity garden with lovely walks and interesting facts, indigenous plants and many trees. The park is spotlessly clean and well maintained and there are lovely areas to sit beside the lake or beneath the trees and enjoy the incredibly peaceful setting. Signal Hill and Cape Town Stadium form imposing backdrops. It would be nice to have a place to sit and enjoy a coffee but there are so many great coffee shops and restaurants around Green Point, Mouille Point and The Waterfront, nearby. So wonderful, I wish this park had been done years ago.

Loved the park..we had kids and after a day of touring was a good spot to stop and have them play, run around, climb. They have a mini golf park which is quite nicely done. On the overall a great spot for families

it's not the first time this was mentioned: A few parties essentially take over the garden on weekends. Bringing all their equipment, essentially moving in with the full tut, just short of the kitchen sink. I suggest to impose rules as in Kirstenbosch. No chairs, no gazebos, no tables. Visitors, stay away on weekends.
