This 90 minute cruise from the waterfront along the coast is a great way to see Cape Town and experience the sea. With drinks on board and comfortable seating, the Ameera is worth the outing!

A whole bunch of us hired the Ameera for a private sunset cruise to Clifton. It was an awesome experience of a lifetime that will hold memories for years to come. Crew, captain and booking admin staff were just awesome. I would recommend self catering and bring your own champagne like we did.

My husband and I chose to go on the sunset cruise on Ameera after looking at several different boat and catamaran trips being offered at the V&A Waterfront. For just ZAR 240 per person for a 90 minute cruise (including a glass of sparkling wine or juice), this is extremely good value for money. The cruise departed promptly, was staffed by professional but relaxed crew, and the sparkling wine flowed freely. The views of Table Mountain and Cape Town from the water are spectacular. I would not recommend this cruise to anyone who suffers from motion/sea sickness as the swell can be quite large once you exit the harbour and get into the ocean. Bring a jumper/sweatshirt for the way back -once the sun goes down it can be chilly.

Went out for a sunset cruise, after being told that if there is wind they put up sails, turn off the engines and really sail. Sure enough the wind came through, the sails went up and quiet reigned. The bubbly corks popped repeatedly, and when I mentioned I was a cat sailor I was quickly offered the helm, which I gladly held on to till we headed back. The only downside was that the clouds rolled in with a drizzle, so no sunset or fantastic views. If you are a sailor, this cruise is for you
