“Must experience in Cape Town”
Reviewed 3 September 2013

Excellent food served as tasting portions (tapas). Excellent advise on pairing wine with food. Location better than before, on the 6th floor at The Biscuit Mill, Woodstock. Beautiful view, and much bigger premises. Cusps to the chef, Luke Dale Roberts, could not have asked for a better meal and attention from Polish waitress. I will certainly go back there again and again. Make sure you book way in advance as it is very difficult securing a table. Bellisima!!!!

“Superb views and super food”
Reviewed 3 September 2013

We booked ahead for this one, and were not disappointed. Up the top of the tower at the the Old Biscuit Mill in Woodstock the views were amazing of the lit-up city. The tapas-style food was all excellent, but not cheap. I'd definitely recommend this one for a special night out.

“Fun menu, delish food”
Reviewed 1 September 2013

After a short cab ride from the waterfront, we took the elevator up to the 6th floor and walked into Pot Luck Club. Servers were great, and we were brought to a table by the window. The menu's fun as you write down what you want on a piece of paper, and as you add, they'll bring your requests to the kitchen (which is right behind us and also fun to watch). We enjoyed some great pinotage, and ordered oysters, the cheese plate, fish tacos, the roasted potatoes, duck spring rolls and a beef dish. I'm a pescatarian but my friend loved the meat dishes. The dessert was the only thing I didn't love, we got a cheesecake with pretzel bits that was more like a thin layer of cheesecake jello, and may be enjoyed locally but really wasn't our fave. Overall though, we had a great experience and I'd recommend it to anyone looking to take a break from waterfront dining.

“Sister to The Test Kitchen”
Reviewed 30 August 2013

Having experienced the Test Kitchen, we were looking forward to trying the more casual Pot Luck Club. This is a tapas experience, and wee excellent. Basically you can manage the quantity of shared tapas dishes, and push the stop button when required.
Food was great, service was great, venue was great, wine was great. What more can you ask for!
Thanks to Colin for looking after us.

“Fun and delicious”
Reviewed 28 August 2013

For a fun night, recommend sitting at the counter with a view of the kitchen action and helpful explanations from the chef de cuisine. The food was generally excellent, with a bit of up and down, and unlike some tapas places many of the portions were quite generous. If you've never been before it's worth checking out directions since it wasn't clear at first where in the mill it is (it was dark out). It's a tasty, inventive menu that is well worth the trip.
