My wife and I popped in here for lunch a week or two ago and although the restaurant is a bit off the beaten track, it was well worth the visit. It's owned and run by an Italian mother-daughter combination and they really do understand the food of Italy. All of the pastas and gnocchis are homemade - I had the blue cheese gnocchi and my wife had the penne amatriciana, and both were outstanding! These were preceded by a shared starter (Parmigiana di melanzane) and followed by a shared dessert (tiramisu) - both were excellent. The meal was also pretty good value as all of the above, plus drinks, coffees and a 10 percent tip came to just over R300.
Although it caters mainly for the lunch and breakfast crowd, it is open one night a week on Thursdays - although when we tried to book at least 3 or 4 days in advance, they were already fully booked. Clearly they're doing something right!
All in all, highly recommended and we'll certainly be going back. Soon.
