“Centrally located BUT ...”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 August 2013

Stayed here during 2010 SWC ...the place is seriously in need of an upgrade i.e. rooms and especially the bathrooms, the tiles were covered in mould. Staff were very friendly and helpful, sufficient parking and within walking distance to many a eatery and excellent ones as such. Breakfast was disappointning with respect to selection, staff and effciency - som training of staff needed in this area

Room Tip: Newly reneovated rooms

in walking distance to sightseeing like District 6 museum, castle of good hope, slave house, Tuynhouse, parc etc.. to the shops and restaurants at the waterfront you need a taxi for around € 8.
Did the sightseeing alone as a woman and it was no problem whatsoever.

To the hotel: nice, big, clean rooms with aircondition, bath big enough, nice breakfast, friendly and helpful staff
nothing to complain!

Large rooms with iconic views. Exceptional food. You've nothing to lose! With a new gym, garden and pool, close to movies, restaurants and shopping, parking so easy, you know its for stopping! I shall return again and again, for as long as they have me, come sunshine or rain.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights from the 19th of May,We were group of ten including my family(my wife and 8 year old son).
Very helpful staff at the reception and checked us in swiftly.
Medium size well decorated room with minibar, coffee machines, toiletries in the bathroom(big tub included),two large comfy beds with nice soft pillows.
Hotel is very close to airport(20 minutes).Table mountain and waterfront very neraby10-15 minutes).
There is a mini shopping center across the road. One Indian and one Asian restaurant are situated in the next building complex.
Hotel has a nice big swimming pool and recently renovated gym to keep you fit.
You can find a nice lobby where one can relax, meet guests, watch TV or have some drinks as they have a nice bar too.
Dining room is very spacious, well decorated and breakfast is really awesome.Large spread with
varieties of bread, fruits, juices, cold cuts and multiple choices from hot breakfast menu. You will never remain hungry. They have a nice a -la-cart menu for dinner and food is really good.
We also had lot of help from travel desk and Mr Bob was very helpful in explaining all kinds of excursions and gave right guidance.
However, internet is not free and they charge 22 R for 15 minutes.
Overall nice experience, comfortable stay and we will definitely stay here ,if we visit Cape Town
again.
.

Room Tip: All rooms have two large beds and very well maintained.

This was our 4th visit and is our first choice hotel when staying in Cape Town. We felt at home during our 4 night stay and just love the convenience of easy access and close proximity to everything. Freeway access to and from the hotel is easy and convenient. Only 20 min from the airport.
An excellent base to combine business in the city with sightseeing in and around Cape Town. Within walking distance from the Cape Town Gardens where one can feed the squirrels or visit the National Museum. Also close to Kloof street and Long street, the Gardens Shopping Centre, banks and a number of restaurants. There is a bus stop within 200m from the hotel where one can catch the sightseeing bus.
The back wing of the hotel has been upgraded and offers nice mountain views. They can be cold in winter and we rather prefer the older, but warmer front rooms with city and harbour views. The hotel has all the amenities including conference facilities. Staff are friendly and helpful and quickly obliged to special requests. Breakfasts are great with enough variety to suit all tastes.

Room Tip: Visitors from Europe or colder climates may prefer the rooms with mountain views as the front rooms...

I was very happy with our stay - our room was on the top (4th) floor, and had a magnificent view of table mountain - could see the cable car going up & down!
The hotel has been nicely upgraded: flat screen tvs & mini fridges in the room are a nice touch. Bed was also lovely & comfy.
The bathroom is slightly older, but fine..
Location wise - it's awesome. About a km away from Kloof & Long street, there are restaurants within a hundred metres to walk to, & it's 2 blocks from the Gardens shopping centre.
It's also super convenient to get on the highway for the southern suburbs.
Overall, I was very happy. The only issue I had was that the coffee from the machine was not great!
