With lovely, warm and personal service beside the great location. We stayed 5 days with our 20 months old and were thrilled by the level of detail to make our lifes more comfortable, from proper baby bed to baby chair in the room to toys and useful unexpected equipments for the little one, who was always treated kindly and welcoming.

We spent our last 3 nights of a two week South Africa trip at the Cape Grace. We had a beautiful room with marina and Table Mountain views. All services in the hotel that we used were excellent. Awesome breakfast, wonderful drivers to transport us to dinner every night (and pick us up). The concierge was a great help in booking Table Mountain gondola and other excursions. The pool was lovely. The Cape Grace has a lovely location and lots to do within walking distance. We actually loved walking around Cape Town. It was very safe.

Room Tip: A Table Mountain view is quite desirable, but I am sure the alternate side of the hotel is just as n...

My family stayed at the Cape Grace in a 3 bed suite and it must be the best hotel accommodation we've ever had. Wonderful sized rooms, all ensuite and great views over the harbour, especially from the huge terrace. Everything about the Cape Grace is superlative - the staff, the food, the service, could not be faulted. The training behind the scenes must be excellent as all the staff, whatever their job, were just delightful. We travelled around after leaving Cape Town and had our last night back at Cape Grace and we felt like we were coming home. If only!
Can't wait to go again.

We started our South African vacation with a stay at the Cape Grace hotel for the first 5 nights of a 16 night holiday and could not have been any happier. The property itself was absolutely perfect. Although the property was renovated a few years back, everything looked brand new. The location in the Waterfront was perfect and walkable to lot's of restaurants, shopping, and "tourist" area of Capetown. It was also just a short drive (provided by hotel BMW) to all of the other parts of the city and Table Mountain.

The service was the friendliest and most helpful that I have experienced at any property --- from the front door man, to wait staff, to the front desk to the concierge. Each and every one of them ready to see if we had everything we wanted, to provide restaurant or touring advice, and to make sure we had everything we needed. We couldn't have felt more genuinely welcome.

We spent the first day on-property recovering from jetlag and enjoyed Tapas on the water at sunset at the bar in the back of the hotel overlooking Table Mountain for dinner. The food in the main restaurant for dinner later in the week was incredible and breakfast (which was included) was outstanding as well. Room were spotless, large and well equipped. And the beds were extremely comfortable.

We used the complimentary hotel BMW many times throughout our stay without any issues or waits. My only area for potential improvement (which is difficult to find) was that the wifi was a bit spotty in some of the public areas (lobby, pool, library, etc). Although the signal was strong and incredibly fast in our room, and it is provided free of charge to all hotel guests (so it's hard to fault).

Overall it was the perfect place to start our trip and we couldn't thank the Cape Grace enough for a fantastic stay. We wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.

Room Tip: Request or book a room with a view of Table Mountain and the marina.

My wife and I started our South African holiday at the Cape Grace Hotel in Cape Town. The hotel gave first class service and comfort. The location is just perfect for walking to the Waterfront each evening to vist the local bars and restaraunts. Enjoyed a deluxe room although the view on the "dockside" was not the best it did not detract from a wonderful stay. It is also a perfect base to visit all the local tourist attractions - Table Mountain, Robben Island, the Gardens etc. Thanks for the stay.Would recommened to anyone visiting Cape Town

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the yacht side of the hotel.

We stayed our first four nights at Cape Grace and what a hotel! The service is just incredible, nothing is too much trouble. We had a room overlooking the marina and Table Mountain and after the overnight flight from London it was just so welcoming. Breakfasts were wonderful and we ate in the hotel one of the nights, should have eaten there again as it was by far the best food and service in the area. The concierge Hoon was so helpful when we tried to contact our car rental company with a problem and we had been given the wrong phone number. We used the limo service just once because we had a rental car but if I ever go again I would pre-book for transport to attractions. The decor and attention to detail is breathtaking and I would not hesitate in staying there again and would recommend it as one of the best hotels you could ever stay in.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the marina and Table Mountain must be quieter as the other side is the road and th...

First trip to Cape Town and stayed at the Cape Grace for 5 nights and couldn't recommend it more highly. One of my top hotels in the world. Decor is new and fresh creative Dutch Colonial (make sure and check out the chandeliers throughout the property!) Very well maintained property - friendly and helpful staff. We even witnessed the staff scrubbing the moldings and baseboards in the hallway with soap and water. Hoon - the concierge is THE BEST concierge I've ever worked with - super nice guy and very knowledgeable. And don't overlook the restaurant - had dinner one night and wished I had eaten there more.

Room Tip: Rooms facing table mountain side of hotel are much better.
