Spend there weekend during my business trip to South Africa. Very good location, just in center of the city, close to waterfront. Professional and nice staff, really trying to help (had troubles with my credit card, helped me to solve it). Even there was renovation of exec. Club, it was nicely covered in bar at ground floor. Breakfast very good, wide variety of food and fast service, local bubbles (Krug) were excellent for perfect start of weekend. I have only good memories.

With the CTICC - Cape Town International Convention Center almost as a part of the hotel, Westin Cape Town is one of the best hotels I have been to. Service Impeccable, Smiling Staff, Cooperation all the way and one of the best breakfast spreads. The free pick up and drop facility to the Victoria docks and back every hour is awesome with one of the most friendly drivers who actually cares and this service saves a lot of money to the hotel guests as the taxi charges for the same would be quiet steep. I look forward to visiting very soon , this time for vacation with my family.

I have traveled extensively and this was by far the best trip I have ever been on. The hotel was immaculate and the service can not be better. Awesome location and views. Our group went on four day trips and each one was better than the day before. I would recommend going to the town of Boschendal for a full day of shopping, site seeing, food and wine. The Table mountain tour is great but take a jacket. We also went on a tour of an animal reserve about two hours away. It was worth the drive. Be sure to take something to cover your nose and mouth from dust. The scenery of the tip of Africa is like something from movies. So be sure to have plenty of camera memory. If you like cigars you will love the cigar bar. Enjoy!

Westin was a nice comfortable place to stay in Capetown from 16th to 21st March 2014.

Check in was quick, around 12:30 pm, although the room was not ready. I had to wait for half an hour for my room to be ready. This happened to my colleague as well who had checked in the previous day around the same time. So I guess this happens to every one if they check in around noon. The room was spacious enough with comfortable bed and pillows, a work station, mini bar, ironing board etc. The bathroom was nice and clean.

Location wise, could not beat since I was there for an exhibition at Cape Town convention centre and the Westin is part of the CTICC complex. Besides this one could walk down to the Victoria Wharf and the place is just a 10 minute drive away from Table Mountain.

The internet was free but slow nit really suitable for doing any work. An irritating aspect of the internet was the fact that it kept logging off if you are idle for a couple of minutes. This was a major hassle and hope the management will look into this aspect.

Break fast has a wide spread. But everything is repeated every day and becomes a bore after a couple of days.

19th floor has a gym, spa and an infinity pool. It was really good to start the day with a bit of time in the gym and little bit of spalshing in the pool.

All in all a nice experience and one has to apprecate the fact that all the staff you meet, be it at the reception or else where had a smile on their face and always greeted you pleasantly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cape Town

Room Tip: Rooms in higher floors will give a good view

Business hotel, with all facilities attached to it. Confortable bedroom, large bed, large bathroom and separate dressing room. I don't know what room I was in, but I had access to the 19th floor, kind of a club where you have free snacks between 5 & 7, with outstanding view on ocean and Table mountain. Go and have your breakfast there, if you can, that's breathtaking, and if you are busy all day, that's one thing of Cape Town you can't forget! Excellent on all counts!

Room Tip: the higher floor, the better, because of the views, whichever side of the hotel you stat at

We stayed for pleasure, not business, therefore there were some niggles that didn't quite come up to my expectations for a 5 star holiday hotel mainly being the executive club rooms and lounge.

The lounge served alocholic drinks between times of 5 and 7, not a minute before or after, this is very limited from lounges I have experienced in the past, especially when drinks were offered to all guests on some occasions on the ground floor. Soft drinks can be consumed throughout the day, however ONLY in the 8 seats just in the lounge (we got caught out by this). Executive rooms are on a higher floor, yet exactly the same as the rest of the hotel. Unfortunately my disappointment with the executive service and facilities impacts the impression I am left with from this hotel (and the W chain as a whole).

Spa is ok, sauna has a fantstic view and is must. If I was staying for business I would be very happy with this hotel. For pleasure I would look at seeing where else I could stay for the same money.

Room Tip: A higher floor for the view, although watch the sun, the rooms can get sooo hot during the day
