I stayed at this hotel in January 2014 for a couple of nights and loved it. When I'm in a new country and don't know what's good, I always try to go for a chain hotel for the first few nights because you can always rely on them and won't let you down. Westin is a great chain and I don't regret booking it. I have to say I used my SPG points this time so I don't know if it's an expensive hotel. But everything is great service, rooms (we got upgraded), breakfast. It's close to the waterfront and the view from the rooms is lovely. Would definitely recommend!

Near, but not that near, to the Waterfront this is a classy business hotel. Perhaps the best feature s the simply stunning fitness centre with ceiling to floor windows giving you views over the bay, and equipped with the very latest equipment. Likewise the small lap pool. The rooms are bigger than average - sadly my 4th F deluxe room looked directly onto the end of the motorway but beds very comfortable and a large separate shower room. Good for conferences - the ICC is linked to it, but there are better places to stay as a tourist.

Room Tip: Higher the better

I recently stayed at the Westin in Cape Town for one night while I was there on business.
The hotel was great, room was clean and really very comfortable - nice bathrooms with separate bath and shower and everything was in perfect working order. Bed was super comfortable. There wasn't a huge variety for breakfast but it was ok.
My only concern regarding the hotel is that we were charged R100 for parking which I think is outrageous and should be free for guests of the hotel.

The Westin Cape Town is adjacent the convention centre and generally very centrally located. the V and A waterfront, Long Street, and much of the business district are in walking distance. The hotel itself is very well-run and generally immaculate. I particularly recommend the executive centre on the top floor - good service, good food, and this being Cape Town, spectacular views. The other hotel food service is merely adequate.

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the Ocean and Harbour.

Stayed here while at a conference in the adjacent convention centre. We paid for an upgraded room on the higher floors and this was worth it as it included breakfast in the 19th floor panoramic room. Wonderful views of the city from there certainly made breakfast memorable. The deal also included free canapés and drinks in the same room every evening. The sauna is pretty spectacular with great views over the waterfront. My only reservation was that service was a bit "relaxed" and orders had to be retaken a number of times and there were often lengthy waits, which may simply reflect the laid back atmosphere of Cape Town. I would book here again.

We stayed for 2 nights on the 18th floor with windows that went from floor to ceiling. The view of the harbor was beautiful! Service started out wonderfully when the pick up we arranged from the airport was there with a sign with our name on it. The driver then suggested a private wine tour for the afternoon which we decided to splurge and do since Robben Island was closed. We managed to see four wineries in the afternoon and try some great wines. The Westin driver (whose name I can't remember - sorry) was great in suggesting the wineries. We had dinner in the Executive Club and the food was wonderful. If you want to give it a try, be sure to make reservations! Service was excellent in arranging our transportation back to the airport. I highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: The higher the floor the better!

Stayed at this hotel a while back and it was just amazing. First time in South Africa and I made the right choice in hotels. Stayed here for my birthday and was treated to a bottle of champaign by the manager. Also the view was amazing. Next time I visit Cape Town, I have full intentions of staying at this hotel again.
